Afternoon.
All the freshman classes had gathered in the Assessment Zone.
Shrek Academy's Assessment Zone was located in the north-central part of the Martial Soul Department, adjacent to the Soul Duelling Zone. However, compared to the cramped Soul Duelling Zone, the Assessment Zone was several times larger. To Outer Court students, this was a paradise where outstanding students could display their talents, as well as a nightmare for those who lagged behind. Nearly ninety percent of the academy's assessments were held here every year, and countless students had left Shrek Academy in disappointment after failing their assessments.
The Assessment Zone was oval-shaped. Unlike the Soul Duelling Zone, which resembled a standard Soul Duelling Arena, it was a flat, spacious clearing. Only the outermost perimeter was enclosed by a low wall. Inside, it could be divided as needed into areas of equal size to serve as examination grounds.
The annual Freshman Assessment was always when the Assessment Zone was divided into the greatest number of examination grounds. This was not only because there were many freshmen, but also because their destructive power and attack range were limited. They did not need much space to fully display their abilities. The Assessment Zone covered more than twenty thousand square meters and had now been divided into twenty examination grounds. Each was a thirty-meter square, and a nine-hundred-square-meter field was more than sufficient for freshmen, who generally possessed only one or two Soul Rings. At the average movement speed of a normal Soul Grandmaster—fifteen meters per second—they had more than enough room to dodge and maneuver across a nine-hundred-square-meter field. However, this was extremely unfriendly to Agility Attack System Soul Masters.
This year's Freshman Assessment had two hundred freshman teams. After drawing lots, every ten teams would be assigned to one examination ground and
