Background / History

Shrek Academy is hailed as the continent's number one academy. Biographies state that at least half of recorded Titled Douluo were its graduates, while its prestige has allowed it to dominate the All-Continent Elite Soul Master Tournament for nearly a thousand years 5 199.

The academy was originally an advanced Soul Master academy. Four thousand years before the story, it created its Outer Court at the request of the Three Douluo Kingdoms' imperial families to cultivate more talent 33 36.

Its free Martial Soul awakening work once extended to children in surrounding areas, but pressure from nobles and imperial families forced a former dean to limit this service to within one hundred kilometers of the academy. That region subsequently became Shrek Academy's tacitly recognized exclusive zone for Martial Soul awakening affairs 83.

Following Mu En's death, he ordered all Sea God-related places to be renamed “Heavenly Origin,” declaring that Shrek Academy had never been a church for any god. He entrusted the academy's future to Zhu Ziyang 256.

During the Sun Moon–Heavenly Soul War, the academy publicly declared neutrality. Students were free to return to their countries, but doing so ended their status as Shrek disciples; nearly 70% of Outer Court students left 407.
