After a rare few days of leisure, Rota came to check in at the Spirit Hall Sacred Hall as usual. Under Spirit Hall's system, a small meeting was held every day. Over the past few days, Rota had merely strolled around before leaving.

Qian Xunjie still had nothing important to discuss. Every day, he talked about trivial matters, and Rota let it all go in one ear and out the other.

Standing to one side and yawning, Rota looked at Qian Xunjie on the throne. There probably won't be anything major today either. Once Qian Xunjie finishes talking, I can go back and relax.

"Everyone, now that we're all here, let's discuss a major matter for once!"

The moment they heard it was a major matter, everyone focused their attention. Usually, this meant Qian Xunjie had come up with some new idea again.

After Qian Xunjie finished speaking, he swept his gaze across the crowd below. The hall remained silent; apparently, no one was willing to volunteer.

But this Soul Douluo was no ordinary Soul Douluo. He was Tang Hao of the Clear Sky Sect, not some man without status or backing.

Trying to persuade Tang Hao to join Spirit Hall would be harder than climbing to heaven. Although the Clear Sky Sect was not as powerful as Spirit Hall, it was still immensely strong. Tang Hao had been born into the Clear Sky Sect, so he was surely proud and would not casually join another organization.

Though Rota had been slacking off the entire time, he had heard Qian Xunjie's words. He just did not understand why Qian Xunjie wanted to recruit Tang Hao.

Although the Tang Hao incident had not yet happened, and the relationship between the Clear Sky Sect and Spirit Hall had not deteriorated that far, it was possible that Qian Xunjie wanted to use this opportunity to build good relations with the Clear Sky Sect.

It might also have been part of a plan to unify the continent. But Rota did not know the specifics; it was all merely his speculation.

Qian Xunjie looked somewhat displeased. He had already offered such tempting rewards, yet no one had volunteered.

"I hope Spirit Hall's members will not all be this timid. Is there not even a single decisive person among you? Then I shall appoint someone!" Qian Xunjie said sternly, his sharp gaze frightening everyone.

"Then, Elder Kizaru, I'll have to trouble you to make the trip!"

Just as Rota had expected, Qian Xunjie directly called on him.

Rota did want such a reward. His own organization was still in its early stages, so why not earn some extra pay?

One reason Rota had not volunteered was that he wanted to ask for a few more benefits.

"Oh dear, Tang Hao is as strong as a monster. This old man doesn't want to get smashed by the Clear Sky Hammer~" Rota waved his hand, pretending to be terrified.

Qian Xunjie knew perfectly well what Rota was doing. It was fine to put on an act before him once, but this time, no matter what, he had to make Rota work.

"Kizaru, don't boost others' prestige while diminishing your own. Don't I know your strength? Stop joking around!" Qian Xunjie intended to be firm this time. What kind of Pope could not even command an elder?

"Your Holiness is so cruel~ Using this old man's salary to threaten him~" Rota said in a deliberately loud voice.

Qian Xunjie was not afraid. After all, he was the Pope. No matter how much Kizaru acted, he still had to obey him.

"Enough, Kizaru. You can't evade this mission. You're a strong man Tang Hao might acknowledge."

Rota felt it was about time to move on to the next step. If he kept acting, it would become overdone.

"This really puts this old man in a difficult position~ Such a dangerous task isn't something this old man can handle alone!" Rota scratched his head in distress.

But then, his tone shifted. Looking at the lofty Qian Xunjie, Rota said, "Recruiting a genius like Tang Hao isn't simple. A reward like this may still be a little too little~ After all, there are quite a few things that need to be prepared~"

Upon hearing this, Qian Xunjie realized that Kizaru was bargaining with him now. He truly did not take him seriously at all.

"Fine, Kizaru. What reward do you want? So long as you can recruit Tang Hao!"

Getting Rota to agree was already no small feat. As long as Kizaru's demand was not excessive, Qian Xunjie was willing to accept it.

If this could make Kizaru obedient, then Qian Xunjie would no longer have to worry about Kizaru.

Qian Xunjie himself did not know why he loved competing with Kizaru so much. Perhaps it was his pride at work.

Ghost and Yue Guan, standing beside Qian Xunjie, kept suppressing their laughter. Every time they saw the "interaction" between Kizaru and Qian Xunjie, it was incredibly amusing.
