Background / History
Tang Hao was already celebrated as a “Peerless Genius” and rising star before his first on-page appearance. A disciple of the Clear Sky Sect, he possessed exceptional blacksmithing ability alongside a formidable Clear Sky Hammer martial soul, drawing major public attention when he entered the Balak Kingdom’s Blacksmith Competition. 4 66
During the competition, he remained largely indifferent to the crowd’s acclaim, directing his attention instead toward Ah Yin. He won the competition, though he regretted being unable to properly test his skills against Xinglan. 66 82
Kizaru approached Tang Hao on Spirit Hall’s behalf and disclosed the recruitment mission directly. Tang Hao accepted a plan to outwardly cooperate with Spirit Hall, eventually serving as one of its elders and completing assigned missions. 82 164
After rumors spread that his hammer concealed a route to an ancient realm, Tang Hao and Ah Yin were besieged in Fengyan City. Rather than surrender the hammer, Tang Hao chose to fight his way out and protected Ah Yin against numerous pursuers. He later revealed that he already knew the hammer’s secret: it served as a key to an ancient realm guarded by enemies powerful enough to challenge both him and Ah Yin together. 117 118
Tang Hao, Ah Yin, and Madara entered the Star Dome Secret Realm, where Tang Hao gained recognition from the Explosive God-Slaying Hammer. His ensuing duel with Madara pushed him to use Clear Sky True Body, Great Sumeru Hammer, and Exploding Ring; although he lost, he gained Madara’s respect and resolved to grow stronger. 122 124
Qian Xunjie later targeted Ah Yin after learning she was a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast in human form. Tang Hao faced the Pope, Ghost, Chrysanthemum, and Kizaru while carrying Ah Yin and their newborn son, refusing to abandon his family. Spirit Hall subsequently branded him a traitor and used an account tying him to Qian Xunjie’s death as grounds to pressure the Clear Sky Sect. 164 165 180
To overcome his bottleneck, Tang Hao accepted Ah Yin’s sacrifice as his ninth Soul Ring. The Explosive God-Slaying Hammer’s protection allowed her to reform afterward, preserving their family. Tang Hao then retired with Ah Yin and Tang San to Holy Soul Village, concealing his former identity and working as a blacksmith. 173 176
Appearance
Tang Hao is a burly, muscular man whose physique reflects his strength-centered cultivation. Following the effects of Sublimation Fluid, his muscles became notably firm and taut. 173 176

Personality
Tang Hao is proud of his strength and initially expected to easily overpower Rota in an arm-wrestling contest. After learning that Rota was a Level 98 Titled Douluo, he was briefly shaken, but quickly regained his resolve rather than allowing the setback to break his confidence. 85
He follows a path of ultimate strength and values direct action over empty words. His cultivation emphasizes pure power, though he later trained his speed extensively so he could keep pace with Kizaru in battle. 123 547 701
His defining trait is devotion to his family. Tang Hao repeatedly prioritizes Ah Yin’s safety over treasures, reputation, or his own life, and he later chooses a quiet life in Holy Soul Village to protect Ah Yin and Tang San from further attention. 117 165 176
