Kuzan used Soru to flash beside the wound on Kais's back that the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King had torn open. The flesh and blood there were slowly healing, displaying Kais's extraordinary recovery ability.

Although Kais's recovery ability was indeed powerful, a wound of this scale would still fester and become infected if left untreated, making the injury far more troublesome.

Kuzan gently brushed his hand over the surface of Kais's wound, and a layer of blue-white frost lightly covered it.

"That should do it. A little cold compress will help it heal faster!"

Of course, the wound's true recovery still depended on Kais's own healing ability. Kuzan's ice treatment was mainly for stopping the bleeding and keeping it clean.

"Well, you didn't really need to get hurt on purpose just now. Chasing that guy away would've been enough," Kuzan said mildly.

Kais narrowed his eyes and replied, "Yeah, but that would've made the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King wary of your presence. If he had run away early, he wouldn't have suffered this time."

Kuzan chuckled and shook his head. He hadn't expected Kais to still act like a child despite being so old.

"You're getting more and more childish, Kais!" Kuzan remarked bluntly.

Kais did not care in the slightest about Kuzan's opinion of him. After all, he still had children to look after, so his temperament naturally leaned more toward that of a child.

"Alright, let's leave it at that. I'll leave those humans to you!" Kais glanced at the Sea God Island Special before diving into the deep sea.
