He chose to let Wang Ping fend for himself rather than interrupt the refining, leaving Cai Lin furious and the battle unresolved.

• Thunder Venerable arrived in Heaven One City after Fei Tian used his Three Thousand Thunderous Illusory Body to summon him, then confronted Wang Ping and attacked with dozens of lightning pillars.
• Cai Lin contacted Nalan Ye and explained that Thunder Venerable threatened Wang Ping and the other Heavenly Snake Mansion members, whose deaths could cost the Snake-People Tribe its Inheritance King Seal.

The fighting ended with the Wind and Lightning Pavilion’s forces defeated, though the major combatants survived with little or no injury.

• Heavenly Flame Venerable revealed Fallen Heart Flame, which frightened Thunder Venerable and made him order a retreat through a Space Wormhole.

After the battle in Heaven One City, Yan Xiao’s group traveled to Rock City, the closest human settlement to the Beast Region, where Cai Lin hoped to reach the Snake-People Ancestral Land. The group prepared to continue their journey after three days of rest, and Yan Xiao asked Heavenly Flame Senior about the Snake-People Tribe’s powerful enemies.

• The Wind and Lightning Pavilion’s forces were defeated in Heaven One City, and Yan Xiao’s allies treated his injuries while deciding not to pursue Thunder Venerable.
• Yan Xiao accused Bai Xiaobai of informing the Wind and Lightning Pavilion, but the others detected no lie, and Bai Xiaobai handed over the Rings of Holding taken from the fallen enemies.

Nalan Ye and his companions crossed a dangerous battlefield ruin on their way to the Snake-People Ancestral Land, where Cai Lin opened a passage using the Inheritance King Seal. The passage began absorbing vast amounts of earth qi, creating a disturbance that could draw attention from far away.

• Nalan Ye blundered into a Sky Restriction Formation and dodged bolts from an ancient ballista before rejoining the group on Black Water Profound Yin.
• Nalan Ye practiced the Three Thousand Thunderous Illusory Body for two days and created a self-aware-looking afterimage he called Ye Lao Na.
• Cai Lin led the group to Qingmao Mountain and told Nalan Ye about her homeland, the Tagor Desert, and the azure lotus core flame that had helped her break through to Dou Zong.
• Wang Ping gave Cai Lin the Inheritance King Seal, and she used it to open a pitch-black passage to the Snake-People Ancestral Land.

The Snake-People Ancestral Land reopened and drew Earth Qi so violently that Cai Lin could not control it, exposing the group to nearby Magical Beasts. After entering, I was transported alone to an ancient battlefield and fought through its deadly defenses.

• Cai Lin failed to control the reopened Snake-People Ancestral Land, and Heavenly Flame Venerable and Wang Ping failed to conceal its Earth Qi disturbance.
• Heavenly Flame Venerable took me, Little Fairy Doctor, and Cai Lin through the unstable passage while Wang Ping entered with Qing Yue and Long Xi.
• A spatial force separated me from the others and sent me to a wasteland battlefield where automated crossbows attacked me.

Nalan Ye escaped the Crimson Salt Grinder and reunited with Cai Lin, who explained that the Snake-People Ancestral Land’s passage could not be closed. As magical beast clans poured into the small world, she sent Nalan Ye to claim two control halls so they could take control of the ancestral land.

• Magical beast clans gathered at Qingmao Mountain, and Mu Qingluan and Dian Jingkong arrived among them.
• The passage stabilized, and the beasts rushed into the Snake-People Small World.

After Ye began refining the ruined Black Tower, Dian Jingkong and his allies surrounded them, but Ye claimed he had trapped them instead.

• Ye and Mu Qingluan entered the Arms Hall, where Cai Lin showed Ye its layout and guided him toward the Weapon Hall Main Hall.
• Dian Jingkong, the Vajra Wolf King, and the Azure Wind Fish King pursued them with a large group of magical beasts, and Ye used the gatehouse restriction to wound Dian Jingkong.
• Ye and Mu Qingluan passed through the Arms Hall’s defenses as Ye disabled restrictions and refined a damaged puppet, prompting Mu Qingluan to question how familiar he was with the place.
• Cai Lin directed Ye to the final gate tower and explained how to refine the Black Tower, whose remaining mechanisms responded to his hand seals.

She drank its poisonous blood to strengthen her Calamity Poison Body and reached Two-Star Dou Zong, then poisoned Qiu Yin with her blood as he attacked her.

• Little Fairy Doctor searched the lifeless canyon and surrounding ruins for Nalan Ye, then found a snow-white Pill Beast in a rotting forest.
• Qiu Yin appeared, demanded the Pill Beast, and chased Little Fairy Doctor through the air after she refused to surrender it.
• Realizing the beast was a Poison Pill Beast, Little Fairy Doctor drank its blood to awaken the power of her Calamity Poison Body and advanced from One-Star to Two-Star Dou Zong.

The Little Fairy Doctor poisoned Qiu Yin and advanced to two-star Dou Zong, but her calamity poison body surged out of control during their fight. Nalan Ye arrived and surrounded Qiu Yin with his allies, only for the Little Fairy Doctor to attack him.

• The Little Fairy Doctor poisoned Qiu Yin, whose wounds forced him to cut away his rotting flesh before he attacked her with a Dou Qi serpent and a powerful punch.
• The Little Fairy Doctor caught Qiu Yin's punch barehanded as gray mist spread around her and her aura began rising again.
