The Fifth Fleet's commander-in-chief, the spirit creature known as Coco Kina, suddenly changed his tone. In a low, solemn voice, he spoke as all three of his eyes grew brighter than before, surrounded by a faint violet glow. What kind of emotional change did that signify? Surprise? Fear? Anger? Doubt? Or all of them at once? We did not know yet. We could only be certain of one thing: the situation had truly become complicated.
None of us present were wearing Imperial uniforms, but Tawell's communication display was floating beside the "Council." She was in uniform. From the communication device's camera angle, Coco Kina could clearly see Tawell in an Imperial researcher uniform. Thus, in his eyes, the Council was maintaining contact with the Fifth Fleet while communicating with the Empire... Well, that was technically the truth. It was just a terrible time for that truth to be exposed.
