Background / History

As the War Song Princess, Sandora was among the Old Empire's most renowned war leaders. She led her Legion through expeditions across countless worlds and destroyed worlds too thoroughly corrupted by the Abyss to be purified; Pandora summarized her scale of killing as counting “by race as the basic unit.” 152

During the Empire's collapse, Sandora and the Vengeance Legion were isolated from the spiritual network and stranded on Earth for 57,000 years. The later account of Abyss Shilin confirms that the isolation was part of a preservation effort that protected the Legion from the wider Abyss infection devastating the Empire. 31 1455 1504

Chen Jun first encountered Sandora at the Vengeance Legion's base after sensing their shared Emperor-level mental link. She accidentally injured him during the contact, then treated him and strengthened his body; believing he might have come to remove her from Earth, she asked whether he was there to “take [her] back.” 32 Soon afterward, she disclosed that she had suffered Abyss erosion but retained her sanity and self-control. 34
