Father God came over as the fleet was about to enter Imperial territory. He casually set Cindyia down from his arms and said to us with a chuckle. Cindyia swiftly transformed into a little black cat, jumped onto Xiao Xue's head in a few bounds, and wagged her tail goodbye to her father.
"Uh, you're leaving already?" I paused. "You've come all this way. Aren't you coming over to sit for a while?"
Father God glanced at us and said unhurriedly, "I imagine you have quite a lot to deal with yourselves. We'll talk next time we get the chance. I'm leaving Cindyia to you. This child is quite mischievous, so please bear with her. If she really refuses to behave, send me a message and I'll make her study tongue twisters with the Dragon God."
Cindyia immediately let out a "meow," every strand of fur standing on end as her tail stiffened into an iron rod.
Father God smiled and waved to everyone, casually opening a Teleportation Gate before returning to the God Realm in the next second.
The massive Empire Fleet regrouped at the Border World. The reinforcements Sandora had brought returned directly to their original stations, while the Vengeance Fleet and Sikaro's fleet had suffered severe damage. Their most badly damaged ships were sent through jump platforms to the nearest military worlds, where they would be repaired until they could return to battle. The remaining ships in better condition carried the soul forms of countless fallen soldiers, clustering around the endlessly chattering War Song as they returned with us to Shadow Space.
Sikaro had expended a tremendous amount in this battle, and his performance
