Every day I stayed at Viska's house, I was on edge, terrified that those two unreliable parents might somehow ruin my innocence if I let my guard down...
Only after stepping out of the Teleportation Gate and seeing the familiar Great Temple of the Life Goddess, along with the broad avenue leading to Shadow City, did I finally breathe a sigh of relief. I was home at last.
Viska's body was still mindlessly following behind me, while her soul remained stuck together with mine for the time being. But that deadlock had loosened considerably. Father God's solution was remarkably effective. After isolating the effects of Void assimilation, Viska's soul was rapidly regaining its freedom. She could now form a faint connection with her own body, and occasionally even felt herself being pushed out. As for me, the clearest sign of the separation process was that I could distinctly sense another will within my soul. It was a sign that the two fused souls were about to become independent individuals again.
Maybe in just a day or two, Viska would regain her freedom.
During those four days in the God Realm, I followed Ice Father's instructions and took care of Viska's body at all times. Whatever Ice Father's motives might have been, I personally had no objections to the assignment. I ate with Ice Sister, played with her, and even slept with her—the last part was rather awkward,
