Finding the first and second messages meant we had uncovered more clues. We continued down the corridor and successfully found the third message at its end. It still contained only one sentence:
"New instruction: You have completed your physical examination. If you have reached this point, it means the testing equipment has determined that your health meets working standards. Now proceed straight down this corridor. Do not stop until you see a new instruction."
Although we still did not know who this ship had been prepared for, messages mentioning things like "aftereffects of prolonged hibernation, the need to use external equipment to examine the body, and audio signals to stimulate the brain and restore wakefulness" clearly did not fit the lifeform of Shilin Apostles. So we could make a bold guess: this ship's crew had likely been ordinary "mortal races." That also confirmed Lilina's earlier discovery—the corridors in the ship's outer section were filled with dust produced by weathered organic matter, and there was a strong chance that it had come from the crew's corpses.
So this ship—or at least this section of its Core Area—had been prepared specifically for mortal races. That was strange, because Sandora and I both knew that during the Old Empire era, Shilin Apostles had never been so "gentle and considerate" toward their Minion Army. This ship's design was simply far too abnormal.
A corridor leading deeper into the ship from the "Activity Hall" was blocked by an alloy door. The third message was on the wall beside it, but this door was not so easy to open. Judging from the message, there should have been something like an infirmary behind it. After being awakened from some sort of hibernation, the crew had to undergo examination there. Only once their health "met working standards" would
