"Leader" was a mature, glamorous-looking woman. I had been rather surprised when I saw her through the mindscape earlier, but Sandora, Her Majesty the Queen, immediately gave me a full-on roasting over that slightly "biased" surprise. The gist was: What was wrong with women? Why couldn't women take charge? Why couldn't a woman be the leader? Of course, Sandora knew I hadn't meant anything by it. She was just bored.
The mental terror caused by the Terror Disaster had nearly shattered the minds of everyone in the underground base. If Sandora had not pulled back in time, there probably would not have been a single living person left here. And even though she had not gone for the kill, when the "leader" regained consciousness, she was dazed and barely knew where she was. The slightest movement around her terrified her beyond reason. Still, that made things quite convenient for us: her mental defenses had already been crushed by fear. At this point, even a child interrogating her could make her spill everything.
Sandora handled the questioning. She could control the lingering fear in their minds more precisely and get more information out of them. Meanwhile, I wandered around the underground palace. This place seemed rather interesting.
All sorts of technological products were scattered throughout the underground palace. It used electric lighting, had simple closed-circuit surveillance, and communication equipment. Clearly, that did not fit the Lost Divine Teachings' rules on technological control. I had no idea how they had acquired these things while the Lost Divine Teachings controlled the entire world. Its technological blockade apparently was not as airtight as I had imagined. After all, many technological products could not simply be dug out of ruins and used. If you wanted to equip a base this large with technology, you had
