I was exhausted, dizzy, aching all over, nauseous, and dry-heaving.
I had come to deeply realize that letting a Superwoman who could run at 210 kilometers per hour carry me on her shoulder for hundreds of kilometers in the middle of the night was undoubtedly an idiotic thing to do. What was even more idiotic was that after being tossed around all night, I had still insisted on coming to class. This gave me a terrifying thought—could my hidden masochistic tendencies finally be awakening?

After morning self-study, the classroom was as chaotic as an alleyway the instant city inspectors arrived. Noisy chatter filled the air, and overly energetic students ran everywhere. From the United States selling missiles to Taiwan to what the cafeteria would serve for lunch today; from how primitive people tens of thousands of years ago had thought of grilling food to yesterday's school shooting—every topic the world could possibly produce seemed to be gathered in this tiny classroom. Vast amounts of information converged here, then were processed into all manner of bizarre forms. Without subtitles, probably not many people could understand what they were saying.
In this noisy environment, all I wanted was a good nap.
