Pandora is a Shilin Apostle: a magic-technology-based, semi-energy construct organism rather than a robot. In non-combat conditions, her body can resemble an ordinary carbon-based human and replenish energy through eating. 5

After the Shilin Empire’s long dormancy, its remaining external information system detected thought fluctuations matching an Emperor’s Soul imprint. Pandora was dispatched to assist the newly recognized Emperor, Chen Jun. 5

She is a veteran General-class Apostle and commander of the Pandora Heavy Armored Legion. Her direct force includes 300 commanders, while its lower-ranking non-sentient units can be stored in subspace. 11 12

Millions of years earlier, Pandora was selected for the experimental Undying Project because of her talent and achievements. The project created thousands of soulless backup bodies that could receive her uploaded soul, memories, and personality if her active body died. The project was later abandoned in favor of Soul Crystal preservation, but her unused bodies remained in indefinite standby. 232

A later system error awakened Pandora’s backup bodies simultaneously during a catastrophic Abyss event, causing widespread clone-on-clone slaughter. One backup body developed independent intelligence, escaped, and eventually became Viska. Pandora considers the clones her own bodies and bears guilt over their fate. 232 233
