The battle within Atlantis City had by now basically drawn to a close. For the Empire's most elite ground forces to capture an ancient city, even one filled with monsters whose combat strength rivaled the Empire's regular army, would not take much time. As we gradually advanced, key functional buildings were reactivated one after another by the Shilin Mainframe in the rear. The haze hanging over this ancient city was also rapidly dispersing at a visible rate. Before long, the Abyss Energy entrenched here would likely be driven away by the city's purification systems.

The ground forces that had entered the Inner City District had already split into several groups, heading toward the key structures Ares had pointed out. Sandora and I each led a squad to activate two defensive system control centers. Viska went with Sandora, while the remaining two troublemakers from the five-person god-race group ended up with me—Lin and Ilson had previously "coordinated" their way into the Inner City District and still had not returned to the unit. The former had become too dumb to even contact the main force, while the latter was probably still unconscious.

We encountered several more Valkyrie attacks along the way, but now that the Armored Scorpions had experience dealing with these warriors, they handled them with ease. The Valkyries' ambushes did not greatly impede the soldiers' advance. With Atlantis divine servants familiar with Valkyrie fighting styles and exceptional Gensokyo fighters like Sakuya Izayoi assisting from the side, the operation proceeded fairly smoothly.
