There was a mutant species in this world called brats—Misaka was no exception.
Bellavella suddenly mentioned wanting to see the structural diagram of the Ruins World. That was no problem, of course. Sandora quickly found the last spatial "panorama" scanned by the shipborne probes before they evacuated the Ruins World. This panorama was far more than a visible image; it was actually an extremely complex mathematical model that described virtually all the key macroscopic information of the entire world. Understanding and reading this mathematical model required astonishing data-processing abilities, as well as the Shilin Apostles' unique "direct data read-write mode of thought." Anyway, I couldn't make heads or tails of this kind of "world snapshot." I had only heard that, through this mathematical model, a reader could even recreate the entire world from nothing—though only on a macroscopic level. The details of a world required nearly endless data to describe, and there was obviously no point in doing that for a Ruins World. We hadn't kept records that precise.
But even a single snapshot was enough to convey the basic structure of the Ruins World. Bellavella fell silent for over a minute as she slowly analyzed the mathematical model. In the end, once she understood the world's structure, she let out an impressed sigh.
"That child... though insane, was an insane genius."
Seeing the confusion on our faces, Bellavella did not keep us guessing this time and began explaining simply. "It may sound unbelievable, but Viska used an ingenious method to turn that entire star-system-sized stretch of space into a shield amplifier. Its scale was so vast that it was measured in light-years. Look here. Between the World Barrier and the inner stable zone, there was a dense region of Psionic Storms, wasn't there? It was called the Storm Ocean,
