Mad AI was a headache-inducing character, and the Grand Warlord particularly resented her for it. Overall, though, it had not escalated into an actual conflict: no matter how rude that crazy lunatic was, as a soldier, she was unquestionably worthy of the word "loyalty."
Even after being scrapped for seven hundred thousand years, she still remembered to charge for her general. That was the kind of military spirit even the Grand Warlord respected.
Though at the moment, that military spirit was circling Sandora nonstop. Two planets of roughly equal size racing around each other less than half a kilometer apart was a sight shocking enough to drive at least two football fields' worth of astrophysicists insane if it reached Earth. Fortunately, she remembered to activate gravitational isolation systems and all sorts of other barriers, or Sandora would have kicked her into the void herself. Mad AI had just been rambling at the Grand Warlord about smearing someone's face with universal gravitation, but after Sandora somehow gave her a light "knock," she finally settled down. The two celestial bodies, neither of whose gravity could be called small, floated side by side in the distance and chatted. Well, mostly War Song kept chattering while Sandora could not be bothered to respond.
"Come to think of it, what do you think of that crazy girl? In every respect."
Standing atop the Grand Warlord's second antenna array, I asked after finally relaxing.
"She is adequate in battle. She has little tactical ability, but her instincts are accurate, and she adapts well to the complex systems of her new body. When the enemy intercepted us, she promptly pulled the fleet into a World Bubble, avoiding even greater losses," the Grand Warlord said with his usual meticulousness, objectively evaluating Mad AI. "But she is too reckless.
