"Explosion Charm!"
Wes once again cast the powerful spell at The Dark Lord with astonishing speed.
This time, the spell struck The Dark Lord with perfect accuracy, like a cannonball fired from its barrel.
Hit by the tremendous impact, The Dark Lord was hurled backward and slammed heavily onto the ground, unable to struggle back to his feet for a long while.
Just then, two distinctly different voices came one after another from The Dark Lord's direction.
"I'm sorry, Master."
"Give me control of the body!"
"But Master, your injuries..."
"Shut up, you fool!!"
"Yes, Master."
Wes keenly sensed that the magical power within The Dark Lord had undergone a drastic change.
Looks like Voldemort has logged on.
Wes understood that his next opponent was no longer the insignificant Quirrell, but the terrifying Dark Lord whose very name sent the entire British Wizarding World trembling—a name few even dared to mention.
Wes swiftly cast Protego, and a sturdy magical shield formed around him, giving him another reliable layer of defense.
"Sectumsempra!" Wes growled, sending an invisible, razor-sharp slash hurtling toward Voldemort.
Voldemort reacted swiftly. With a flick of his wand, he effortlessly deflected the oncoming Sectumsempra.
Sectumsempra struck several thick trees and neatly sliced them in half.
When the first strike failed, Wes continued his assault without hesitation.
"Avada Kedavra!"
He shouted the chilling spell aloud.
Voldemort's figure flashed aside, dodging with ghostlike agility.
Yet in that instant, the weeds around him seemed driven by some mysterious force and began growing wildly. Like pairs of powerful hands, they tightly wrapped around his limbs.
"You sly young man," Voldemort said through gritted teeth.
"I'm a Hogwarts professor. How could I possibly use an evil Unforgivable Curse?"
Wes replied unhurriedly.
Voldemort muttered an incantation, and billowing black mist suddenly erupted from his body. The mist seemed to possess immense corrosive power, and the weeds binding his limbs rapidly withered, shriveled, and died.
Wes constantly shifted positions across the battlefield, his wand firing one powerful spell after another. Yet Voldemort evaded every one of them with ease.
"You're very talented, young man." There was a hint of admiration in Voldemort's voice. "Submit to me, and I will grant you endless power and glory..."
Hearing this, Wes could not help bursting into laughter. "Submit to you? A complete and utter failure?"
A terrifyingly intense killing intent immediately radiated from Voldemort. "Do you know who I am?"
"Of course. After all, you're my Senior."
Wes looked openly provocative, meeting Voldemort's gaze without retreating in the slightest.
"Cruciatus Curse!" Voldemort suddenly cast the cruel Unforgivable Curse, sending an evil beam of light toward Wes.
Wes swiftly dodged and chanted at the same time, "Petrificus Totalus!"
Voldemort was equally nimble, leaping away to avoid Wes's spell.
"Incendio!" Wes attacked again, sending a sweeping blaze surging toward Voldemort.
Voldemort waved his wand, and a powerful torrent of water rushed forth, extinguishing the flames.
"Wes!!"
Hagrid's rough voice suddenly rang out as he hurried over with Harry.
The moment he saw the Unicorn lying on the ground, Hagrid rushed to administer emergency treatment, skillfully using herbs to temporarily stop the blood flowing from its wound.
"Hagrid, take Harry and Draco and leave!" Wes shouted.
Hagrid agreed without hesitation. His thick, powerful arms tightly cradled the injured Unicorn, and he ushered the two children away.
If Hagrid had not possessed the powerful bloodline of a Half-giant, it truly would have been difficult for him to lift such a heavy Unicorn.
Draco obediently followed behind Hagrid. The harrowing battle he had just witnessed had captivated him so thoroughly that he was even a little excited.
So this is how Wizards fight. It's so cool!
After everyone had left, Voldemort spoke in a sinister voice. "Staying behind to cover your students' retreat? How touching."
Wes's magical power began to roil like boiling water. "Now that it's just the two of us, we can finally let loose."
"Incendio."
As Wes spoke the incantation, ferocious flames burst from his wand. Under his exquisite control, the flames transformed into a massive dragon baring its fangs and claws, roaring as it flew toward Voldemort.
Voldemort moved both wands in his hands and muttered an incantation. A massive shield of ice instantly appeared, blocking the fire dragon's charge.
"Avada Kedavra!"
Voldemort once again used the genuine Unforgivable Curse without hesitation, a dreadful sickly-green flash shooting toward Wes like lightning.
Wes showed no panic at all. He merely waved his wand lightly, and the little squirrel that had been perched in a tree watching the show flew helplessly toward the lethal green light. It was instantly struck, kicked its legs once, and stopped breathing.
Wes controlled the blazing fire dragon and smashed it fiercely into Voldemort.
BOOM!! The explosion erupted with power comparable to a C4 bomb. Everything within ten meters was burned to ashes by the tremendous force, while the ground was scorched black and wisps of smoke rose into the air.
Voldemort emerged unscathed from the earth-shattering explosion, but he was clearly running out of strength.
"Master, retreat. Dumbledore will arrive soon."
"Bastard! You dare tell me to run?!"
"Master, in your current state, you truly aren't suited for such intense combat. As long as we can successfully obtain the Philosopher's Stone, that will be enough."
A flash of fire streaked past, and Voldemort narrowly avoided the spell Wes had fired.
"Senior, your condition doesn't seem too good."
Wes calmly brushed the dust from his robes. "No wonder you need to drink Unicorn blood to sustain yourself. That fragile soul of yours probably won't last much longer."
Voldemort narrowed his eyes, his gaze filled with chilling killing intent.
"Looks like I was right." As Wes spoke, he gave his wand a light flick and cast Expelliarmus.
Wes had long mastered the technique of silent casting. Though the move caught him off guard, Voldemort still successfully blocked it with Protego Totalum.
"You've mastered silent casting quite well, but using Expelliarmus against me? Are you joking?" Voldemort sneered disdainfully.
Wes slowly circled Voldemort. "Never underestimate any magic, Senior. Besides, I've been coveting all that profound magic in your head for quite some time."
"Bastard!" Voldemort was furious enough to nearly crush his wand in his hand. "You actually want to capture me alive?!"
The Dark Lord, who had once dominated an entire era, had never suffered such humiliation before. Had young people today completely forgotten the Dark Lord's terror?
"Don't be angry, Senior. Didn't you just finish your hunt? Now it's my turn to hunt you."
Voldemort laughed furiously.
"Die!"
Billowing black mist once again poured from Voldemort's wand. Wherever the mist spread, plants instantly withered, and the surrounding creatures lost their life force one after another.
Wes hurriedly cast Scourgify, attempting to disperse the evil black mist.
"Confringo!" Pebbles and rocks on the ground instantly transformed into powerful bullets, shooting toward Voldemort like a torrential downpour.
Bolstered by Wes's formidable magical power, these "bullets" possessed force no weaker than real bullets.
The spreading black mist suddenly contracted. Wes immediately raised his guard to the utmost, focusing completely on what lay ahead.
The black mist rapidly condensed into a humanoid shape, then vanished in the blink of an eye.
"???" Wes's face was full of confusion.
He repeatedly cast Accio, yet he could not find any trace of Voldemort.
"Did he run away??" Wes said to himself, caught between laughter and tears. "Looks like I overestimated Voldemort's integrity."
