Background

Wes was originally an ordinary foreign orphan who realized he had transmigrated into the Marvel world during a visit to the Captain America Memorial Museum. Initially unable to defend himself even against common criminals, he regarded the world as dangerously hostile. 2

His Panel enabled continued magical growth beyond adulthood, unlike the usual limitations of the Harry Potter world. After graduating Hogwarts, he traveled through other worlds, developed as a Potion Master and Alchemist, and repeatedly returned to Hogwarts-related territories to improve his magic. 3

The Ancient One's Crystal Ball gave Wes the Mental Power needed to reach Level 4. Encounters with the Ancient One and Mephisto also convinced him that he needed far greater strength before he could safely confront major supernatural threats. 26

Appearance

Wes commonly presents himself as an ordinary young man, allowing his power and reputation to surprise those who encounter him. He is also noted to possess unusual eye features. 129 149

  • Uses a magic wand or staff for many spells. 106 257
  • Can conceal himself, create illusions, or appear through a projected mental manifestation. 154 467
  • Later uses a scepter in high-level combat. 458

Personality

Wes is independent, calculating, and intensely driven by magical knowledge. He regularly treats powerful beings, rare materials, unusual physiology, and supernatural systems as subjects for research rather than obstacles to avoid. 106 129 266 292

He rejects being controlled by governments, S.H.I.E.L.D., or superhero organizations, and explicitly does not consider himself an Avenger. He acts according to personal objectives rather than ideals of public service. 150 155 179

Wes can show restraint toward weaker enemies, but becomes exceptionally ruthless when challenged, threatened, or when valuable research material is involved. His willingness to kill, manipulate, extract souls, and launch large-scale campaigns has made him an enemy of multiple worlds and factions. 161 164 371 561
