Spirit Hall upbringing

Hu Liena and Xie Yue entered Spirit Hall to cultivate from a young age. Bibi Dong cared for Hu Liena’s cultivation and daily life, developing a bond that was maternal as well as instructional. Hu Liena lived with her teacher at Bibi Dong’s private estate before Long Yu joined the household 28 170.

When Bibi Dong accepted Long Yu as her second disciple, Hu Liena became his elder martial sister. She welcomed him enthusiastically and was astonished by his level-twenty-six cultivation at only six years old. At Spirit Hall Academy, Bibi Dong assigned her to protect him, and she used her popularity among the advanced-class students to help him settle in 28 30.

Relationship with Long Yu

Hu Liena’s initial curiosity developed into romantic affection. Learning that Long Yu already loved another girl left her disappointed, but she continued pursuing him. An accidental kiss brought their feelings into the open, although Long Yu withdrew because of his commitment to Qian Renxue 37 50.

The decisive turning point came during a battle against Evil Soul Masters. After Yan deliberately allowed an enemy to get past him, Hu Liena protected Long Yu and suffered a life-threatening injury and corpse poisoning. Jun Yun suppressed the poison and brought her back to Spirit City; Bibi Dong expelled it and stabilized her injuries 63 64.
