Background / History

Spirit Hall originated after the first-generation Angel God led oppressed Soul Masters against the Evil Soul Masters and founded the organization following their defeat. Despite its early victory, Evil Soul Masters were never completely eradicated, making their suppression a continuing duty for the institution. 53 135

Before becoming a continental government, Spirit Hall served as the strongest Soul Master force on the continent. It dispatched personnel to awaken Martial Souls for commoners free of charge, paid monthly subsidies to low-level Soul Masters, protected civilians, and acted as a counterbalance to the Heaven Dou and Star Luo Empires. 1 4

Its public standing among commoners was generally stronger than that of the noble factions and empires, particularly because its services gave common-born Soul Masters opportunities and resources otherwise monopolized by nobles. 1 116

Spirit Hall's Advanced Class investigates Evil Soul Master attacks around Fengyun Town. The mission becomes politically fraught when the Heaven Dou Empire and local powers restrict Spirit Hall reinforcements while rumors undermine public confidence in the organization. 56 57

Long Yu's group exposes the ambush, kills the Evil Soul Master leadership, and uncovers Lin Xuan's collaboration with them. Spirit Hall uses the operation to reinforce its reputation as a defender of civilians. 62 66

Papal Palace–Elder Hall Crisis

Bibi Dong is removed as Pope, Golden Crocodile becomes acting Pope, and Spirit Hall issues a secret order to capture or kill Long Yu. The Papal Palace is subsequently left in ruins after the conflict between Bibi Dong and Qian Daoliu. 158 164
