Perseus?
Nero narrowed her eyes slightly. She had not expected Kriemhild to recognize this great hero from Greece at a glance.
Still, it made sense. She used a scythe as a weapon, and just now she had shown the ability to turn invisible. It was not difficult to infer this Heroic Spirit's identity from that. Perseus possessed several treasures granted by the gods: the Scythe-Sword that could slay immortals, the Winged Sandals that let one walk through the air, the Helmet of Invisibility that could conceal one's form, the Kibisis that could hold monsters, and the Bronze Shield that could reflect a person's image.
With these treasures, Perseus easily slew the Gorgon Medusa and obtained her head. She then used that head to turn the sea monster Kraken into a stone mountain, saved the Princess Andromeda, and married her.
Just as Kriemhild had said, Perseus's life had been smooth sailing. She had never encountered any real hardship.
And precisely because of that... hearing her lament her own fate only made Kriemhild burn all the more with rage.
"You've made up your mind to hide? Fine."
Kriemhild gave a cold laugh and said, "Nero, you help too.
"I'm going to beat this one flat, stomp her to pulp, tear her apart, rip her to shreds, until she's dead—no, after that, I'll do it another hundred times!"
"Killing her no matter what is going a little too far."
Nero tidied the hair by her ear and sighed. "We still need to rely on her to deal with Pavoni. But..."
But this Heroic Spirit really was infuriating. Resisting Pavoni concerned the future of all humanity in this world, yet she wanted to run away with some flimsy excuse like "not wanting to follow fate." That was not what a hero of legend should
