Background / History

Xi Wang originally lived a stable, ordinary life supported by rental income. He spent his free time with friends, volunteered, exercised, and traveled. Though he enjoyed fantasy stories, he had not wished to abandon that life; after suddenly awakening in a child’s body, he calmly concluded that he had transmigrated. 1

His new life began in captivity under a Priest who repeatedly abused and tortured him. Xi Wang initially endured in silence, holding onto the expectation that a pink-haired girl would eventually reach him and bring “hope” with star-shaped candy. The ordeal, however, forced his compassion and self-preservation into conflict; after being attacked while trying to save others, he accepted that he would do whatever was necessary to survive. 5 9 47

He survived a death match among trainees by rapidly copying their techniques and exploiting an opening with a self-injuring finishing attack. Al recognized his mental resilience and talent, recruited him, and Xi Wang became Poison Chrysalis’s most capable “blade.” He later learned that Father Enrique had been murdered after uncovering illicit activity, leaving Xi Wang with regret over his own part in the organization’s actions. 10 11

Following Fusion Warrior surgery, Xi Wang’s body and powers became increasingly tied to water, the ocean, and Honkai Beasts. He befriended the orca-like Honkai Beast Skaði, named her, hunted alongside her, and came to understand the memories carried by water. Despite his capacity for violence, he consistently tries to protect others. He is polite even toward frightened strangers, helps people with small tasks, and uses music to bring comfort.
