Background / History

Childhood and Entry into the Tang Sect

Huo Yuhao grew up at the White Tiger Duke's Estate. He blamed Dai Huabin for severely injuring his mother, Huo Yun'er, leaving her with an illness that he believed ultimately killed her. His revenge eventually became an explicit goal: killing the White Tiger Duke, Dai Hao, and destroying the estate 176 248.

Near the Star Dou Great Forest, he met Su Yu, Tang Ya, and Bei Bei over a meal of grilled fish. Su Yu recommended the Body Sect for his Spirit Eye, while Tang Ya and Bei Bei offered the Tang Sect's inheritance. Despite his interest in the Tang Sect stories his mother had told him, he initially refused both options and entered the forest alone 12.

After Tang Ya and Bei Bei found him unconscious, their concern persuaded him to join the Tang Sect. Tang Ya gave him access to its inheritance and an exemption admission slot to Shrek Academy. He subsequently traveled to Shrek with both of them 14 18.

Leaving Shrek for Illustrious Virtue Hall

At Shrek, Huo Yuhao became his class's monitor and shared a dormitory with Wang Dong. The Martial Soul Department did not grant him core-disciple treatment, but Fan Yu supported him and secured that status within the Soul Tool Department 53 79 176.

After acquiring Ultimate Ice in the Far North, he reunited with Su Yu. Their conversations challenged his confidence in Shrek's ability to recognize his Spirit Eye's potential and support his future. Su Yu initially considered using him to provoke conflict between Shrek and the Body Sect, but abandoned that indirect scheme in favor of bringing him to Illustrious Virtue Hall 52 53 54.

Later accounts establish that Jing Hongchen forcibly brought him over; Huo Yuhao nevertheless came to regard the move with gratitude. Illustrious Virtue Hall offered advanced soul-tool technology, personal instruction, medicinal support, and—crucially—no institutional barrier to his revenge. Traveling with Su Yu

During their travels, he assisted Su Yu's investigation into the Holy Spirit Cult's attempt to corrupt Tang Ya. His Mental Detection Sharing made surveillance of the Iron Blood Sect substantially easier, and the pair arranged to draw Shrek's attention to the danger 131 132.

He obtained the Bewitching God Butterfly Soul Spirit, completed his Spirit Eye's Second Awakening, and refined medicines with Su Yu at the Profound Nether Sect. These opportunities carried him from Soul Ancestor toward Soul Emperor 126 140 143.

Tournament and Military Career

As a member of the Sun Moon Royal Team, Huo Yuhao supplied battlefield awareness through Mental Detection Sharing. During the Proud Sword Sect match, his support allowed three attacking teammates to defeat seven opponents in five minutes 181.

He also entered Ming Capital's Soul Engineer tournament through the Ordinary Alliance, competing separately from Su Yu. He finished first at that venue, with his crafted tool's practical usefulness helping distinguish it from competing entries 186 210.

Against the Holy Spirit Sect Team, he achieved seven consecutive victories and killed its entire lineup. His final opponent, Yan Feng, was defeated through a combination of Ultimate Ice, mental attacks, Ice Explosion Technique, and fully activated Intermediate Battle Armor 202 203 204 205.

After becoming a Soul Saint, he joined the Fire Phoenix Soul Engineer Legion. His combat abilities and Ju Zi's command helped the Sun Moon army suppress Star Luo's forces. He later returned to Shrek as an Illustrious Virtue Hall representative to cultivate in the Sea God Pavilion under a negotiated agreement 218 219 224 226.

Revenge, Divine Manipulation, and Godhood

When the abyss accelerated its approach to Douluo, Huo Yuhao carried the Snow Empress's warning to Di Tian and Gu Yuena. Gu Yuena revealed that his fate was connected to the Auspicious Beast and that a figure from the God Realm had tried to use him to steal its Power of Fate 246.

He subsequently led the Sun Moon army against Star Luo City. Before he could attack Dai Hao, Wang Dong told him that Huo Yun'er was still alive and urged him not to kill his biological father. The revelation made him hesitate and reconsider how thoroughly his earlier path had been arranged by outside interference 248. He later completed the conquest of Star Luo's remaining territory and incorporated it into the Sun Moon Federation 260.

After becoming a Level One God, Huo Yuhao confronted Tang San. Tang San admitted arranging several opportunities in his life but insisted that they had benefited him. Su Yu intervened and forced Tang San to release Huo Yun'er 304.

Huo Yuhao later accompanied Su Yu to Heyuan Star and accepted a frontline mission alongside the Water God and Earth God against two Half-Step God Kings. Advancing his Order God position to God King remained a future objective, not an achieved rank 306.

Huo Yuhao initially appears friendly but keeps others at a distance. At his first meeting with Su Yu, Tang Ya, and Bei Bei, he remains wary enough to reject their recruitment offers. He also conceals much of his power, presenting two first-ring abilities as one and later disguising his second martial soul's ring colors 12 15 159.

His determination is especially evident during the Ice Empress's sacrifice. Even as his Sea of Consciousness cracks, he refuses Sky Dream Ice Silkworm's intervention and endures through his own will and obsession with revenge 52.

He feels strong obligations toward those who helped him. His guilt toward Tang Ya initially makes him stop practicing Tang Sect techniques after changing academies, and concern for her safety motivates his involvement in the Iron Blood Sect investigation 75 131 133.

Under Su Yu's influence, he develops an ideal of order based on unified government and standardized laws.
