"By the way, Hagrid."
Harry turned to Hagrid again and asked, "I heard Malfoy and the others say that Gringotts was invaded, and it happened to be on the day we went to Diagon Alley to buy supplies."
Hagrid became even more evasive.
Seeing this, Dylan stood up.
"It's getting late. Let's head back first. I think Hagrid should be going to patrol the Forbidden Forest soon."
Hagrid froze for a moment, then nodded repeatedly. "That's right. I need to make a round through the Forbidden Forest."
Harry paused, then stood up as well. "All right, then we'll head back first."
Hagrid left the hut with them. After seeing them off, he turned and walked toward the Forbidden Forest.
Harry looked as if he had something on his mind the entire way.
Dylan, meanwhile, could barely remember anything about the attack on Gringotts.
Was it the Philosopher's Stone?
He vaguely remembered that the Philosopher's Stone had apparently been kept under lock and key in Gringotts before.
Gringotts had suddenly been attacked on the very day Harry went to Diagon Alley. Hagrid had probably taken the Philosopher's Stone out, and someone had set their sights on it, which was why they had taken action.
After briefly figuring out the key points, Dylan did not react much.
Whether it was the Philosopher's Stone or not, Voldemort would still be defeated in the end, wouldn't he?
He did not really care about these things.
In fact, he had only heard about the attack on Gringotts from Harry just now.
Malfoy really does love Harry. He tells everyone everything.
He clicked his tongue inwardly and shook his head.
In truth, he thought that instead of considering how to take part in the plot, he might as well learn a couple more spells and strive to max them out.
Voldemort's Dark Arts Spells level might not even be higher than mine.
Dylan was lost in his thoughts.
Harry suddenly spoke. "Dylan, why do you think someone would attack Gringotts?"
Dylan blinked. "Because Gringotts is an easy target?"
"Huh?" Harry froze.
Dylan smiled. "What else could it be? Isn't the most valuable thing in Gringotts the money and treasures stored inside?"
"It's just like robbing a bank. The robbers are obviously after the wealth inside. Otherwise, would they be after the tellers?"
"If they only wanted to kidnap someone, why not just grab some random person off the street? Why rob a bank?"
"And most importantly, robbing a bank might involve kidnapping someone. But robbing Gringotts... could the robbers really be interested in those ugly Goblins?"
Harry pursed his lips, his gaze somewhat vacant. "What you said does seem to make sense, but..."
"Hagrid said that Gringotts is the safest place there is. It was actually attacked anyway. Aren't you afraid that the Wizarding World is so dangerous?"
"Afraid?" Dylan revealed a strange expression.
For Voldemort's sake, even if that noseless bastard came here himself...
As long as he managed to launch a sneak attack, a combination of Cruciatus Curse, Imperio, Fiendfyre, and Avada Kedavra might not be unable to kill the other man outright.
Once he studied Diffindo, Sectumsempra, and Confringo a little more...
It was still uncertain who would be afraid of whom.
"Hmm? Wait!"
Dylan suddenly realized that something was wrong.
Wasn't I supposed to come to Hogwarts to learn how to put a turtle shell around myself?
How had his focus suddenly veered so far off course in learning spells...
"Dylan? What's wrong?" Harry's voice rang out.
Dylan came back to himself and shook his head. "Nothing. I just thought of something related to studying."
Ron's eyes widened in shock.
How could someone get distracted by studying while simply walking and chatting?
Was this the Natural Learning Prodigy his brother was always talking about?!
Returning to the previous topic, Dylan said, "Actually, there's nothing to be afraid of."
"Oh?" Harry looked at him.
Dylan, however, said casually, "I don't have any money deposited there anyway. Even if someone robbed it clean, I wouldn't lose anything."
"...Uh?" A question mark seemed to spring from Harry's forehead.
What did he mean, whether he had money deposited there or not?
Harry was asking whether, if even Gringotts could be attacked, the Wizarding World was too unsafe. Could Hogwarts also be attacked by that mysterious person and his group?
That had absolutely nothing to do with whether he had money in Gringotts!
No, wait. It does seem to be related!
Harry suddenly remembered that his parents seemed to have deposited a large sum of money for him in Gringotts.
His eyes widened.
Gringotts absolutely could not be robbed clean!
The group returned to the dormitory.
Dylan tidied up briefly, then began organizing his class notes.
He wrote down all the questions he wanted to ask Professor Snape over the weekend.
After reading for a while longer, he washed up after nightfall and went to bed.
He couldn't use Scourgify every day, either.
Dylan had discovered that constantly using magic to clean made him feel as though things weren't being cleaned properly.
Brushing his teeth back and forth with a toothbrush felt much more solid and reassuring.
He woke up after a good night's sleep.
Since he had gone to bed early, Dylan woke up early as well.
Saturday morning was quiet across the campus.
Nearly half the students were still deep in their dreams.
Dylan strolled along the deserted path straight to the Great Hall.
After breakfast, he went to the owlery to check on Luna.
The little one was full of energy, her snow-white feathers shining brightly.
Recently, he had exchanged several letters with his family.
For the most part, he told his parents that he was doing fairly well there and that life was very fulfilling.
He also no longer had to live in a basement.
Although it was a five-person dormitory...
At least he no longer had to live in a basement.
At the same time, he sent his parents another sum of money and had them buy stocks.
It was 1991, and aside from the Wizarding World, the situation in the Muggle World was basically the same as in history.
He had checked and found that this world also had companies such as American Express, OPhone, and Walmart.
He told his Dad to invest all their money in these companies' stocks.
Fortunately, he had recently kept completing achievements, allowing him to accumulate a considerable sum of money.
Together with the money his parents had previously given him, he exchanged all of it, including his own money, into Pound Sterling and sent it to his parents.
As for the reason, it was simple enough—
"Dad, I've met so many magical professors at school, and they're all amazing! Did you see the money I sent you? Invest it according to my instructions. We definitely won't lose money."
These were actually two separate pieces of information.
But strung together, they would make anyone reading the letter think it was one continuous sentence.
Just as he had expected, his parents thought that the information about what stocks to buy had come from Hogwarts' magical professors.
In any case, Dylan refused to answer any questions about it.
That doesn't count as lying, does it?
"Hmm, how could this count as lying?"
After glancing at the time, Dylan discovered that it was almost time for the professors to start work.
Although he did not know whether Professor Snape was in his office at this hour, he had mentioned it to Professor Snape after class yesterday. The other man should be waiting for him in his office.
