Background / History
Dylan lived with his parents, Hubert and Maeve Hawkwood, before receiving his Hogwarts letter. The letter revealed his magical identity, while a System appearing before him granted him overwhelming Dark Magic from the outset. Rather than treating the power as protection alone, Dylan immediately resolved to study magic intensively at Hogwarts. 1 4
Although he comes from a Muggle family, Dylan retains knowledge and perspectives from a past life. This gives him an unusual approach to magical study: he compares spells across disciplines, evaluates practical applications, and considers tactics that ordinary textbooks do not cover. 10 123
He was sorted into Gryffindor despite preferring Ravenclaw for access to its founder’s legacy. At Hogwarts, he quickly became known for his self-study, advanced spellwork, and willingness to seek private guidance from professors. 13 14 21 34
Appearance
Dylan is described as a tall, slender young wizard with sharp eyebrows, bright eyes, and a composed bearing. His formal clothing tends toward practical, understated designs rather than ornamentation. 315 370
- His wand can emit a pink starlight particle effect through Wand Beautification. 40
- His Animagus form is an unusually powerful Fire Dragon resembling a Norwegian Ridgeback. 148
- In dragon form, he has serrated scales, broad wings, vertical pupils, a fanged maw, and a spiked tail. 148
- His human form can retain dragon-like physical strength and produce destructive Dragonfire. 148
Personality
Dylan is relentlessly curious and treats the study of magic as his greatest source of fulfillment. He studies beyond the curriculum, frequents professors’ offices and the Restricted Section, and prioritizes research over ordinary student life. 19 142 186
He is calm in dangerous situations and rarely acts impulsively. Even when considering criminal or destructive uses for his magic, he often restrains himself to preserve his public identity, his access to Hogwarts, and his ability to continue learning. 40 145 297
His manner can be sharp-tongued, teasing, and intimidating, particularly toward bullies or people he considers unreasonable. However, he consistently aids friends such as Neville, Harry, Ron, and Hermione when they need instruction, protection, or practical help. 65 69 142
Dylan’s morality is complicated by his readiness to experiment with Dark Magic, souls, magical creatures, and Horcruxes. He nonetheless distinguishes himself from Voldemort by valuing family, companionship, and the ability to choose his own path. His deepest desire, reflected in the Mirror of Erised, is a warm gathering of family, friends, and professors. 58 142 295

- Combines innate Dragonfire with Fiendfyre. 148
- Can access dragon strength and fire breath even while human. 148
