"Well, um, we should probably get to sleep. We've got loads of classes tomorrow, don't we?"
With that, Ron hurriedly rolled over and pulled the blankets over half his head.
Dylan shook his head and said nothing more.
Neville and Seamus merely snickered.
The night passed without incident.
The next day.
Ron avoided Dylan wherever he went.
Dylan paid him no mind. After class, he came to Professor McGonagall's Office.
He felt a little nervous.
Today, he planned to ask Professor McGonagall if he could have a practical Transfiguration Spell battle—with her.
He just wasn't sure how Professor McGonagall would react when she learned what he had in mind.
He stood outside the door for quite some time, pacing back and forth without daring to enter.
But the next moment, the door suddenly swung open by itself.
"Come in," Professor McGonagall's crisp voice called out.
Dylan froze for a moment. Before his mind could react, his legs had already carried him through the doorway.
Professor McGonagall was seated behind a large oak desk, her gaze behind her glasses carrying a hint of puzzlement.
"Why didn't you knock?"
Dylan cleared his throat and chuckled. "I suddenly thought of something, so I stood outside and thought about it for a while."
Professor McGonagall did not give it much thought. She nodded lightly, then had Dylan take out his notebook and began explaining the details of spells to him, answering his questions one by one.
At the end, Professor McGonagall looked at Dylan with a gentle expression.
"Actually, your understanding of the Transfiguration Spell is already very profound. All I can do now is guide you in the general direction of your studies and help you shape your spells more effectively, including Secondary Shaping."
Dylan nodded, a surge of impulse rising within him.
