A Bunch of Achievements Lit Up! But Something Seems to Have Gone Wrong

He knew all too well what kind of trouble that damn Brother Wand could cause.

Dylan had absolutely no desire to get involved in any of this.

After trying every wand Ollivander brought out.

The one that suited him best was still the thirteen-and-a-quarter-inch wand with a Yew Wood body and a Thestral Tail Feather core.

Ollivander was delighted.

So many years had passed.

These wands had all been crafted in his youth with a tremendous amount of effort.

Now, one of them had finally found a master worthy of entrusting it to.

It gave him the joy of an old father watching his daughter get married.

Because of this, Ollivander did not charge Dylan much, asking only a friendly price.

He even gave Dylan plenty of materials related to wand maintenance, as well as a wand case made from Thestral Down.

"Sir, you're only charging me seven Galleons?" Dylan felt quite pleased after buying a single wand and receiving a whole pile of things.

"Yes, Young Wizard. The Ministry of Magic would never allow Young Wizards to spend an exorbitant price on a wand."

Dylan realized.

The Ministry of Magic must have been subsidizing the old man for selling wands.

Thinking about it further, these wands had also been made in his youth and had remained unsold for so long.

Dylan blinked.

I see!

No wonder!

He even gave me so many little gifts!

"Thank you, sir. I'll be going now."

Dylan walked out of the shop carrying a huge pile of things.

Ollivander watched his back with a chuckle. "Another interesting little fellow, and very well-mannered too."

Once Dylan came out.

He immediately spotted Professor McGonagall.

He hurried over. "I'm sorry, Professor McGonagall. I kept you waiting."

"It's all right." Professor McGonagall smiled faintly. "Particular wizards usually achieve more. I'm looking forward to seeing how you perform after enrolling."

She glanced at the large bundle in Dylan's arms and subtly raised an eyebrow.

She said nothing, merely reminding him, "Your wand may accompany you for your entire life. Don't let it suffer irreparable damage."

"I'll definitely take good care of it!" Dylan promised.

He was feeling somewhat excited at that moment as well.

There was both anticipation at truly entering the Wizarding World and excitement at obtaining a new treasure.

Looking at the wand wrapped in Thestral Down, Dylan could not stop the corners of his mouth from rising.

Seeing the Young Wizard, who was so young yet always gave off an air of maturity, now displaying excitement like a child, a trace of warmth flashed through Professor McGonagall's eyes.

"Let's go. You still need to have a few sets of Wizard Robes made. Of course, having just one made first is fine too."

Under Professor McGonagall's guidance, Dylan.

Passed through Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions, Potage's Cauldron Shop, and Flourish and Blotts.

By the time he left, both hands were filled with shopping bags.

"Professor, I'd like to take a look at that pet shop."

Professor McGonagall paused. "You probably... don't have room to take on another pet, do you?"

Dylan actually had not bought many other things.

It was just that in Flourish and Blotts.

Dylan had directly bought more than thirty books of various sizes in one go.

All of these books had been recommended by Professor McGonagall.

They also included some textbooks.

Dylan figured that since he had a professor accompanying him, he naturally had to make the most of the opportunity.

A book guide this good was not something one could have at any time.

But this also meant that he really had no way to take on anything else.

However, Dylan wanted to visit the Magical Menagerie not to buy a pet, but to ask how he could obtain an Ownership Permit for Shadow Crow.

Therefore, Dylan merely gave Professor McGonagall a shy smile. "Mr. Ollivander told me a few things about Magical Creatures just now. I'm curious, so I really want to take a look."

Dylan carried his bundles and dashed into the Magical Menagerie.

He did not linger and instead had Professor McGonagall return him home via Apparition.

After saying goodbye to Professor McGonagall.

As soon as Dylan entered the house, he carried everything into his little basement.

The excitement of soon enrolling at Hogwarts meant that even after carrying so many things and shopping for such a long time, he did not feel tired.

He briefly explained what had happened that day to his parents.

After washing up casually, he immediately slipped back into the basement.

Then, at that very moment.

He suddenly discovered that the System Panel had refreshed with a new notification. He had no idea when it had appeared, so he hurriedly looked up.

Notification: You have achieved a new achievement!

"Hm? A new achievement?" Dylan was stunned, thinking that he had achieved some kind of achievement by visiting Diagon Alley for the first time today.

Perhaps holding a wand for the first time, or experiencing the sensation of Apparition for the first time.

He hurriedly clicked the Magic Scroll icon and opened the Achievement Panel.

The description of the newly achieved achievement looked as though something had gnawed through it.

The edges of the characters were jagged, the strokes twisted and winding, and the color of the writing was dark and murky, so red it was almost black, like dried old blood.
