For now, until they got to the bottom of this, they had to do their best to conceal the fact that Li Weide possessed the traits of Ancient Magic and prevent him from suffering the same fate.
"But... Professor, how could something so strange even be possible?" Li Weide still found it unbelievable. "And what was that person's purpose in doing this? If they wanted to erase someone's traces, what use was there in erasing only her name?"
Dumbledore frowned. "You're right. However, I think that person's goal may not have been as simple as erasing her name. Though I've never heard of this magic before... their original intention should have been to erase her completely. Perhaps something went wrong with the spell, which was why it only erased her name rather than all her other traces..."

The mere thought of it was chilling! The evil of such magic could no longer be described simply as Dark Magic.
"Are you worried that I might be that person's next target?" Li Weide asked.
"Yes... Fortunately, not many people know that you can use Ancient Magic," Dumbledore said.
In fact, he had not told anyone that Li Weide could use Ancient Magic.
By now, only he, Li Weide, and Nagini, who had been listening in her cage, should know about it.
When he had asked Headmaster Dippet about that senior female student, he had merely said that he had suddenly
