| Law of Life | 512 | Awakens and employs the Law of Life for rapid recovery, fatigue removal, and near-instant healing. |
| Law of Space | 554 | Receives another Li Weide’s legacy, awakening the Law of Space and gaining an internal storage space exceeding fifty cubic meters. |

| Autonomous Ancient Magic growth | 583 | Discovers that his Ancient Magic continues to grow on its own, with its rate linked to his emotional state. |
Background
Li Weide is a transmigrator who possesses foreknowledge of Tom Riddle’s future, allowing him to read Tom’s ambitions and fears from their first meeting. He introduces himself according to local naming custom as “Weide Li,” though he prefers to be called Weide 3.
He tells Zhang San that he grew up in an orphanage, but exploits a fabricated connection to an ancient Chinese Li family when pure-blood society demands a lineage. The bluff earns him influence among British pure-blood families, who attribute unexplained knowledge and resources to his supposed family background 64 327 332. He later establishes an actual Li family on Wangwu Mountain, using cloned people implanted with souls and memories while seeking to enrich its library with other families’ inheritances 537.
Before entering Hogwarts, Li Weide studies extensively and develops unusually advanced Transfiguration. At Hogwarts, his Ancient Magic talent draws Dumbledore’s attention, while a trapped “senior female student,” later known as Miravia, teaches him in Dreamscapes and becomes central to his research into Ancient Magic and Residue 37 64 242.
Appearance
Li Weide is a young wizard with an Asian appearance. He usually wears a wizard robe or an outer robe designed to conceal the large amount of equipment he carries 303 554.
- His black robe can be transfigured into a fitted trench coat. 228
- The robe is unusually durable and contains numerous pockets enhanced with Undetectable Extension Charms. 228 554
- He can use Human Transfiguration to disguise himself as other people. 468
- A temporary Gender Transformation Potion once changed him into a female body during an Ancient Magic experiment. 472 473
Personality
Li Weide is intensely ambitious but unusually aware of his own capacity for corruption. When offered Ancient Magic by a stranger, he refuses because he fears that indulging his desire for power could make him become like the offerer 50. This caution remains a defining contradiction: he pursues power, conducts dangerous research, and plans to unify the world, yet repeatedly sets limits on himself and seeks ways to protect others from the consequences.
He is observant, manipulative, and highly skilled at presenting different faces to different people. He can appear to professors as a model student, to companions as a helpful friend, and to allies as a trustworthy leader, while privately judging relationships through usefulness and strategic value 358. Over time, Tom and Miravia force him to confront the fact that he does care for the people around him, even if he habitually denies it 358 361.
Li Weide is also relentlessly curious. He approaches unfamiliar magic, Daoist arts, alchemy, Muggle technology, magical creatures, and world laws as problems to be tested, understood, and repurposed. His confidence often borders on shamelessness, but he can recognize superior knowledge and actively seeks instruction from Dumbledore, the Four Founders, Miravia, and Nicolas Flamel 249 263 507 510.
