As Xiang Yang departed, Sword Obsessed was left standing alone beneath the moonlight by Flying Waterfall Cliff, pondering what he had gained from his battle with Xiang Yang.
The two were equally matched in cultivation. Though one wielded a saber and the other a sword, different paths led to the same destination; each had gained insights of a different kind. Xiang Yang had, and so had Sword Obsessed.
Suddenly, Sword Obsessed raised his head to gaze at the moon. Far to the north lay the Saber Palace, standing alongside the Sword Hall.
Within the perception of his primordial spirit, a fierce and fiendish saber qi was rising from that land, gathering boundless killing intent as though it meant to shatter heaven and earth and destroy the entire universe.
Moreover, that saber qi grew from weak to strong, soaring and spreading until it finally formed a silver road of saber qi that stretched all the way to Flying Waterfall Cliff, where Sword Obsessed stood.
Along with that road of saber light came an unkempt-haired man whose appearance was almost identical to Sword Obsessed's. If not for the vast difference in their clothing and bearing, they would have been impossible to tell apart.
Black fitted clothes outlined his powerful frame. His face was expressionless, as though long years of solitude had robbed him of even the most basic facial expressions, leaving behind only indifference—indifference as a man, indifference as a saber wielder, indifference toward everything in the world.
His eyes in particular were narrow and slender, like two willow-leaf curved blades stabbing straight into one's eyes, sending chills down one's spine. His mastery of the Insight Technique was clearly profound as well.
"I sensed a formidable saber qi. Who was here just now?"
Blade Obsessed's voice was low and hoarse, as though
