As Sun Wukong entered seclusion, Huang Tian helped Patriarch Styx prepare the Blood Sea for the Buddhist Sect’s next assault, which began with Ksitigarbha’s invasion.

• Guanyin pursued the injured Sun Wukong across the Three Realms until Tathagata ordered her to stop, and Sun Wukong returned to Flower and Fruit Mountain to reunite with his monkeys.
• Great Sage Sun exposed the Buddhist Sect’s plan for the As-You-Will Golden-Bound Cudgel, gave the Four Seas Dragon Kings Ancestral Dragon Blood Essence, and persuaded them to refuse Buddhist rule.
• Sun Wukong broke through to Great Luo Golden Immortal and united the rulers of the Seventy-Two Caves, while Great Sage Sun fused the cudgels and released the waters that flooded the mortal realm.
• The Buddhist forces attacked the Dragon Clan as it controlled the floods, and Great Sage Sun and Sun Wukong joined the battle, killing monks and breaking Dipankara Ancient Buddha’s Buddhist Kingdoms.
• Great Sage Sun and Sun Wukong fought Guanyin, Puxian, Manjushri, and the Three World Buddhas as Zhao Wuji arrived, shattered the Buddhas’ golden body, and helped Sun Wukong kill Dipankara Ancient Buddha.
• Zhao Wuji confronted Patriarch Bodhi at Spirit Mountain while former Jie School disciples left, then he and Patriarch Bodhi ended their fight and agreed that the Buddhist Sect would not attack the Dragon Clan or Water Tribe.
• Huang Tian told Patriarch Styx that Hongjun had blocked his path to sainthood and helped him move most of the Blood Sea into the Chaos Pearl, where Styx discovered a world he could study.
• Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva led hundreds of millions of Buddhist forces to the Sea of Blood, where Patriarch Styx challenged them and Zhao Wuji appeared before Mahavairocana Tathagata ordered an attack.

Zhao Wuji’s actions reshaped the Netherworld, allowing Houtu to fuse with the Human Dao and opening the way for new powers to challenge the Western Saints. After the battle at Spirit Mountain and Kong Xuan’s Dharma Assembly, Huang Tian revealed Zhen Yuanzi’s path to the Earth Dao and prepared to leave the world.

• Zhao Wuji and Patriarch Styx drove the Buddhist forces from the Netherworld, and Ksitigarbha withdrew from the Buddhist Sect and became a demon.
• Huang Tian recruited Heavenly Venerate Taiyi Rescuing from Suffering with the crimson cloud, and Taiyi attained the Primordial Great Luo Golden Immortal realm.
• Houtu reclaimed the Netherworld authorities, fused with the Human Dao, and made the Three Realms capable of withstanding Saints.
• Houtu granted saintly positions to Ksitigarbha and Patriarch Styx, who attacked Jieyin and Zhunti at Spirit Mountain with Kong Xuan and later Bai Ze.
• Sun Wukong joined the fight, but Jieyin and Zhunti’s Saint Stage Five power forced the allies back until the Grand Supreme Elder Lord ended the confrontation and handed Lu Ya to Bai Ze.

• Huang Tian told Zhen Yuanzi that Hongjun had obscured his path to becoming the Earth Dao’s saint and sent him to meet Houtu in Avici Hell.
• Huang Tian said he would leave the world, sent Bai Ze and Kong Xuan back to protect their people, and they entered seclusion to comprehend the Great Dao.
