Deep Nightmare

Li Miao and Landfall's progress had been quite smooth, but Yuanfang had run into some minor trouble.

"Can't get involved..."

Yuanfang frowned slightly and panted as he watched the two enormous figures constantly clashing before him.

Not long ago, he had logged back into the game and joined Pridhan on the Nightmare route, intending to explore the deepest mysteries ahead.

But before long, they encountered a monster called [Deep Nightmare] in an area shrouded in exceptionally dense fog.

Pridhan, too, had fallen asleep beyond his control.

This monster wielded the power of nightmares. It had no fixed form and was immensely powerful.

Other than the line in its description—"Pridhan's deepest nightmare"—Yuanfang could not see any useful information on the status panel. Clearly, it had all been obscured by the creature's overwhelming aura.

The only good news was that Pridhan's power had been continuously growing as they advanced, allowing him to basically contend with, or even suppress, it.

But the bad news was that this Deep Nightmare seemed impossible to kill.

Pridhan had destroyed it several times, yet it swiftly revived each time and launched another frenzied counterattack against him.

Its body was even larger than Pridhan's giant form, and the powers it controlled were exceedingly bizarre. With a wave of its hand, it unleashed swarms of nightmare creatures that blotted out the sky; when it opened its mouth, it released terrifying whispers that could affect Pridhan's sanity.

Fortunately, Pridhan's unique giant spells possessed powerful offensive and suppressive force, while the furnace phantom he summoned continuously drew power for him. Otherwise, it would have been hard to say who held the advantage.

No matter which side attacked, their strikes were extraordinarily dangerous. The aftershocks alone battered the surrounding nightmares until they shook unsteadily, as though they might shatter at any moment.
