Background

Yuanfang entered Spirit Candle during its earliest days and met Li Miao in Nearshore Cave. Rather than immediately spending his attribute points, he kept them in reserve and tested them individually during combat, identifying the practical effects of Strength, Constitution, and Agility while withholding judgment on Spirit and Faith. 6 8 9

From his first encounters with Mudflat Mermen, he displayed exceptional timing, evasive instincts, and rapid improvement. He identified the Mudflat Fishman Leader’s poor vision, maintained its blind spot through precise sidesteps, and later became the first player to solo it. 7 8 10

His real identity is Chen Yuan. After the closed beta ended, he was shown operating within a military setting and recruited Li Miao into the Spirit Candle public beta to gain power against monsters from other worlds. 1038

Yuanfang is calm, analytical, and intensely practical. He treats combat as a process of observation and testing: even after being killed by the Fishman Leader, he focused on its attack patterns, the wandering-soul state, and the persistence of dropped Wax Ash. 8

He has little interest in appearances, weapon names, or style for its own sake. He retained the Drowned Flower Warfire because underwater mobility was useful, equipped visually clashing armor for its bonuses, and regarded weapons primarily as tools. 86 374
