Brian's Frustration

After placing the order, Yinsen and Diana left Harry's shop and found a nearby motel to stay in.

This wasn't downtown, so the motel wasn't particularly upscale and the environment was fairly ordinary. Still, it was only a temporary place to rest, and they wouldn't be staying here for long anyway.

Diana looked at Yinsen, who was sitting against the headboard in a daze, and suddenly grew curious.

"What are you thinking about?"

"I was wondering whether it would be fun to throw that Dom straight into prison."

The main plot of this film revolved around the changing relationship between Brian and Dom. In the end, even though Brian had confirmed that Dom was the robber he was supposed to arrest, he still let Dominic go.

If Yinsen had Dominic arrested from the very beginning, who knew what the later story would become.

Would Brian still end up with Mia? One reason those two got together was that Brian hadn't directly participated in Dominic's arrest. Years later, after Dominic no longer wanted to run, Brian had even tried hard to get Dominic's sentence reduced or waived.

After failing, he had outright abandoned his identity as an FBI agent and broken Dominic out himself, becoming a wanted man as a result.

But according to Yinsen's plan, if Dominic was thrown in prison now, Brian would directly take part in arresting him. Under those circumstances, Mia would be lucky not to hate him to death. True love would probably be impossible.

"What would be fun about that?"
