Just as the Burial Ground was being purified by the Vindicators led by Dick and Neri, far away, on a hill where the elemental forces of Shadowmoon Valley converged, a large number of Orc warlocks had gathered.
Gul'dan had assembled nearly all of the Shadow Council's forces in Shadowmoon Valley and was setting up something that most warlocks could not understand, but which was undoubtedly dangerous.
Besides the Orc warlocks and the brutal, eccentric, green-skinned hulking Orc warriors, some hardened Bleeding Hollow hunters prowled nearby. Their ancestral homeland lay in Nataan Jungle across the sea from Shadowmoon Valley. It had now been chosen as the headquarters of the newly established Horde, where its first Great Chieftain, Blackhand, planned to build a sufficiently sturdy military fortress.
This proved the strategic foresight of the legendary Orc chieftains.
Nataan Jungle shared a land border with Talador and faced Shadowmoon Valley across the strait. These two places happened to be the core territories of the Draenei. Once Nataan Fortress was completed, the Orcs could attack Draenei territory from three directions at once.
The current war in Shadowmoon Valley was the Horde's first battle.
If Gul'dan's Shadowmoon Clan and the Bleeding Hollow Clan that had come across the sea could successfully crush Karabor Temple and wipe out the Draenei there, they could force the remaining Blue Skins into Talador.
