"Gul'dan and his lackeys are over there! Look!"

Ner'zhul, galloping atop a Dire Wolf, shouted over the earth-shattering chaos. Everyone followed his gesture and, sure enough, spotted an untouched ritual platform amid the constantly splitting ground.

It had originally been a hill, but after the earth rose up, it had become a depression. Surrounded by underground lava, it formed a "safe zone." Many Orc warlocks were casting spells within it, while large numbers of armed Orc brutes guarded its perimeter and fought the elemental spirits constantly shaped by the four elements.

The battle was quite fierce!

Clearly, the power of the four elements had sensed the Shadow Council's suppression and isolation. The vile knowledge of the Burning Legion was being wielded by evildoers led by Gul'dan, the progenitor warlock, to sever elemental power from the material world.

It was like a smaller "Elemental Realm" prison, stripping away their influence over the material world for a long time.

Once that happened, the elemental traditions the Orcs had upheld for countless years would utterly decline from the loss of power. Those spellcasters, in order to protect themselves in the coming racial war, would have no choice but to turn toward the path of warlocks.

At the same time, without elemental power purifying the world itself, fel energy could more easily affect and corrupt the material world.

This was a vicious scheme that cut off all retreat and dug up the roots of a civilization. If Gul'dan succeeded, Orc civilization would truly have no other path left. It could only follow fel energy into darkness.

Ner'zhul was nearly driven mad by what he saw.
