To ordinary people, all magical treasures were the same, but in the Cultivation World, magical treasure was merely a general term.
Magical treasures also had ranks: magical instruments, magical treasures, Immortal Artifacts, and spiritual treasures.
Magical instruments were the lowest rank. The Peach Wood Swords and Seven-Star Bronze Swords used by Mount Mao Taoist priests to catch ghosts could all be considered magical instruments, though they could only be regarded as low-grade magical instruments.
Above magical instruments were magical treasures. These could be considered mid-to-high-grade weapons in the Cultivation World. A good magical treasure could be used from the Golden Core Stage all the way to the Tribulation Stage. However, one had to at least reach the Golden Core Stage to use a magical treasure.
Above magical treasures were Immortal Artifacts. However, to use an Immortal Artifact, one had to reach the level of an Immortal. Otherwise, without Immortal Power in one's body, one simply could not unleash an Immortal Artifact's might, and it might even be less useful than a magical treasure!
Magical instruments, magical treasures, and Immortal Artifacts were further divided into four grades: low-grade, mid-grade, high-grade, and supreme-grade.
Above Immortal Artifacts were spiritual treasures. However, ordinary Immortals could only use Immortal Artifacts. To obtain a spiritual treasure, one either needed sufficient fortune or a powerful master.
Spiritual treasures were divided into Acquired Spiritual Treasures and Innate Spiritual Treasures. Innate Spiritual Treasures had existed before heaven and earth were born, while Acquired Spiritual Treasures only appeared after heaven and earth came into being.
The greatest difference between Innate Spiritual Treasures and Acquired Spiritual Treasures was that the power of an Innate Spiritual Treasure increased along with its user's strength. In theory, as long as one had enough Magic Power, even slaying a Saint was possible.
