Background

Xiao Xie identified Xiao Yan as the person who would have become the renowned Flame Emperor and resolved to take that destiny for himself. He targeted the ring containing Yao Lao's soul and declared that there could be only one Flame Emperor: Xiao Xie 3.

His path centered on the Flame Mantra, a cultivation method that evolves through devouring flames. Beginning with the Amaterasu Fire Seed, he successively assimilated Heavenly Flames, used their power to rapidly cross major cultivation realms, and accumulated capabilities beyond ordinary Dou Qi practitioners 41 66 169.

Tou She Ancient God ultimately accepted Xiao Xie as his disciple and granted him his inheritance. After refining it, Xiao Xie broke through to Dou Di and publicly proclaimed the title “Flame Emperor” 461 462.

The Flame Emperor is ambitious, calculating, and highly conscious of the political value of power. Rather than immediately seize Fallen Heart Flame and antagonize Jia Nan Academy, Xiao Xie deliberately arranged to obtain both the flame and the academy's gratitude after its expected eruption 120.

He often projects a domineering and merciless public image. In the world of The Journey of Flower, he defeated the foremost righteous and demonic experts, humiliated Sha Qianmo, destroyed sects, and made himself a terror to the cultivation world 486 512 528. This persona could also serve strategic ends: the battle in Sun Moon Valley and his apparent sealing were part of a plan Xiao Xie staged himself 530.

After receiving Tou She Ancient God's inheritance, he entered the Dou Di realm, called the continent's flames to himself, and took the title Flame Emperor 461 462.

Challenge of the Cultivation World

In The Journey of Flower, Xiao Xie assumed the Flame Emperor identity to test the world's power structure. He defeated Bai Zihua, Sha Qianmo, and the leading experts of major sects, becoming universally known as the Number One Under Heaven 486 494.
