Torrential rain poured down.
Ever since Bai Zhi and the others entered the school, the rain had only grown heavier with time. Anything even slightly farther away was obscured behind a hazy curtain of rain.
Amid the downpour, Bai Zhi arrived leisurely at the Security Room by the school gate, holding a book in his arms and sheltering himself beneath an umbrella.
However, when he reached the Security Room, he found that someone had arrived before him.
"What, you're the only one left?"
Looking at the Suit Man seated in a chair making coffee, Bai Zhi raised an eyebrow in mild surprise and folded up his umbrella, setting it aside.
"Same to you. Didn't you come back alone as well?"
The Suit Man set down the kettle and smiled.
"Want some coffee? I just made it."
"I'll have a cup."
Bai Zhi shrugged slightly, took off his coat—which was more than half soaked through—and hung it to one side before unceremoniously pulling over a chair and sitting down.
The school gate leading outside was right beside them; they only needed to walk a few steps to leave the school. Yet neither Bai Zhi nor the Suit Man showed any intention of leaving.
"Want to exchange information?"
After pouring Bai Zhi a cup of coffee, the Suit Man rested one hand on his crossed leg and spoke with a smile.
"If we want to leave this place, one person's strength won't be enough, right? How about we work together?"
"Work together?"
Bai Zhi raised an eyebrow slightly and looked up at him.
"I recall your name is..."
"Shang Jiuyue."
The Suit Man took a sip of the steaming coffee beside him and replied with a smile.
"Shang as in Shang Jiuyue, Jiu as in Shang Jiuyue, Yue as in Shang Jiuyue.
