Bai Zhi is a Player known by the ID Black&White. Early in his Player career, he sought to raise his below-average physical attributes through exercise and searched for Wild Monsters while handling matters left by Lin He 116.

By the Large-scale Campaign Quest, Black&White had accumulated 100 million Contribution Points and ranked first on the Points Ranking, making him internationally renowned among Players 897. He subsequently pursued the reconstruction of the Shadow World, seeking trade partners and resources across worlds to support the project 897.

After reaching Level 25, Bai Zhi constructed the Personal Talent Core Trust. He treated Qingyi's worsening condition as a primary reason for entering the World Tomb, where he also gathered materials for her treatment 965 1271.

His influence expanded through his status as the Yin Emperor. The Night Watchers and Relevant Department regard him as an unusually independent figure, owing him major favors while lacking authority to directly command him 1383. Bai Zhi is analytical, composed, and highly pragmatic. He rapidly identifies inconsistencies in dangerous situations, such as recognizing A Lu as an Invader because she was the only member of the group unknown to him and had stayed behind without a clear reason 842. He also favors cost-effective decisions over impulsive confrontation, allowing A Lu to leave because pursuing one Invader was not worth compromising the larger situation 842.

In combat, he is adaptable rather than reckless. He avoids enemies whose strength greatly exceeds his own, such as a Level 80 entity with 5,000,000 HP, while exploiting powerful combinations when conditions favor him 987.
