In the distant sky, meteors continued to fall without end.
"Me? Unfit to be emperor?"
As if she had heard something utterly hilarious, the Elf Girl turned around and, for the first time, faced the figure atop the altar directly.
"In the name of the Elf King? What the hell is a king? Nothing more than a toy for amusement. Don't think too highly of yourself. You want this? Sorry, it belongs to me."
With a cold sneer, the Elf Girl tossed the crown representing the Supreme Authority onto the ground, then stomped on it.
"If it weren't for the fact that we're of the same race, I would have wiped out your entire race long ago. How could I have allowed you to act so presumptuously here? You want to pass judgment on me? Where did you get the—"
Before she could finish, the Elf Girl lowered her head in astonishment.
At some point, the crown beneath her foot had silently vanished, replaced by a lump of dried, rotten mud.
"qualification? This is qualification."
Silently glancing at the crown that had appeared before him, the Elf King raised his head and looked at her expressionlessly.
"Admit it. You lost the qualification to be emperor long ago. Right now, you're merely forcibly occupying that position. When someone more suited than you appears, it is only natural for Authority to abandon you. Holding the position without fulfilling its duties—you have disgraced your identity."
"So what?"
After a brief daze, the Elf Girl suddenly began to laugh. At first, it was quiet, but it grew louder and louder... until it became manic.
"What you consider glory means nothing to me. Others may be qualified to judge me, but you just so happen to be the least qualified to judge me!!"
