Amid the surrounding clamor, Bai Zhi opened his eyes.

Contrary to what he had imagined, he was in an extremely bustling high-speed rail station. People streamed past endlessly, every seat in the waiting area was occupied, and he himself was sitting in one of those chairs with his eyes closed in a light doze.

Frowning almost imperceptibly, Bai Zhi lowered his head and looked at the Ticket held between his fingers.

Calling it a Ticket was inaccurate—it was actually a stiff card. The number 11374 was written on it in large blood-red letters, with his name directly below it and a personal photo beside it.

As if prompted by something, Bai Zhi turned the Ticket over and looked at the back.
