Still, Wen Xishu used the Grappling Hook to hoist Zheng Zai and himself high into the air.
The Grappling Hook's ability made it ideal for certain stunt challenges. It was guaranteed to hook onto something, making it a conceptual item.
Even if you threw it into the sky, it would create an anchor point out of thin air. With this thing, you could climb out even if you fell into a bottomless abyss, unless the space was completely sealed.
Wen Xishu figured that when Ding Dong designed it, he might have considered that their group would eventually need to cross mountains and rivers, and would need the Grappling Hook to navigate unusual terrain.
The same applied to stage eleven. Wen Xishu and Zheng Zai used the Grappling Hook to hang high in the air, gaining a positional advantage. That counted as making significant use of the item while killing enemies.
Then Wen Xishu used the gloves to erase the rare species, elite species, and even boss-level monsters Ding Dong had created.
Only the common species remained, allowing Zheng Zai to complete a hundred valid kills.
There was nothing worth discussing about the combat in this stage, but Wen Xishu noticed that its setting was special.
This stage was set in a research institute on an island.
Anyone else would have thought each stage's setting was simply a different place to kill monsters. But Wen Xishu made connections.
These places must all be places Ding Dong visited. This should be where he stayed with that Professor Jin as a child.
