At the starting point of the Rest Area for floors in the sixties, no one besides Wen Renjing and Evelyn should have been there.
Yet when Wen Xishu appeared in the Heavenly Origin section of the Desire Tower Rest Area, everyone still found it... perfectly reasonable.
After all, this was Wen Xishu, the Bunker's newest legend and the director of the Tower of Deception Academy.
Seeing so many people from the Bunker again, Wen Xishu found them rather familiar and comforting.
You could say the Bunker was rotten to the core. You could say its lowest classes had no human rights...
But the Bunker really was so much better than the Ark. Its rot had only begun to spread in the past decade or so.
Only after experiencing the Ark did Wen Xishu truly realize...

Of course, while Wen Xishu found the Bunker so charming, its inhabitants did not necessarily feel the same about him.
This was the Desire Tower Rest Area, after all. Naturally, the people here were all capable of climbing the Desire Tower.

The Desire Tower's climbers were used to standing above everyone else. Now, thanks to the recent Great Devourment, the Strange Tower and Slaughter Tower climbers had risen above them.
Many blamed everything on Wen Xishu, because his appearance had upset the balance.
Only, their idea of balance had always meant being on top.
