The Guiding Grounds.

Wen Xishu had finished his mission and ended his journey early. He had no idea how things were going for the Old Principal, but dealing with Yellow Springs should have been well within his abilities.

It was a rare trip up the Slaughter Tower, and the Red Slaughter Head was particularly excited. It had no bizarre laughing habit, so it got straight to the point:

"Please, stay a moment."

Wen Xishu glanced at the three of them.

"Why don't you just move out? If you can't give me any useful information, what are you staying here for? Surely we're not just here to bond?"

"We have information! Whatever you want to know, we'll tell you everything!" the Red Slaughter Head said.

The White Desire Head immediately added:

"The same goes for the Desire Tower."

The Black Deception Head said:

"And the Strange Tower!"

Having recognized Wen Xishu's potential, the three heads had discussed matters and reached a unanimous decision-restoring the glory of the Guides was their sacred duty!

Wen Xishu did, in fact, know that the Guides had their uses.

After all, the Heart-Questioning Trial felt more like a ritual to him, while the Guides were actual living beings. There were certain questions he really did need to ask them.

Still, Wen Xishu chose to keep them dangling. Partly to keep working them over psychologically, and partly because he had no questions he urgently needed answered. Or rather, that question had yet to arise.

The three heads might be falling over themselves to please him now, no longer responding with their old triple chorus of "hard to say," but if he tried asking about the origins of the Three Towers or the Three Towers Company's core secrets...

Even if they knew, they probably wouldn't talk so readily.
