The Weasley Twins' "Terrifying" Gift
There was a brief moment of silence in the bathroom, then Harry's voice, tinged with guilt and annoyance, rang out.
"My mother raised me very well! My father was also a wonderful man! Professor Snape, besides Potions, my mother also taught me not to speak ill of others behind their backs!"
Snape's voice grew even colder. "Excuse me, but I've made a mistake—you haven't inherited any of your mother's good qualities at all."
Sean immediately stomped his boots hard on the ground, making a loud noise, as if a group of people were walking by together.
He had a premonition that if Harry and Snape continued arguing like this, something bad might happen.
The two people in the bathroom heard the noise Sean was making outside, and they immediately fell silent. Snape released Harry expressionlessly, having just pressed the other's shoulder against the cold wall.
Harry's chest was still heaving violently, and he looked at Snape with undisguised disgust.
Snape's expression remained unchanged, but his hands, which were hidden from view within his black robes, trembled slightly.
Outside the washroom, Sean continued to stomp his feet on the floor. After confirming that there was no other movement inside, he strode away.
The space returned to calm, and after a while, Harry and Snape, their faces grim, emerged and left in different directions.
Sean continued walking toward the broom room without any inner turmoil. It was better to leave the grudges and feuds of Snape's generation to them to resolve themselves.
Moreover, considering Snape's personality, it would be best to pretend that he knew nothing.
Sean walked easily through the stone corridor, and after passing through a thick curtain, he came to a wooden door.
Because the broom shed was rather secluded, even Filch only came to check on it once a month. As a result, the place became the Weasley twins ' little base—the two often discussed how to improve the Dungbomb there.
Sean, who had a very good relationship with the twins, naturally knew about this place.
He gently pushed open the wooden door, and there were two red-haired Weasley, their backsides sticking out, discussing something.
Perhaps they were too focused, or perhaps Sean's movements were too small, but the two didn't even notice that there was another person in the broom room.
"George, are you sure this idea is okay?" Fred scratched his head in frustration.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure it's a great show! Look at this little cutie, how charming it is!" George held a glass jar filled with colorful little particles.
Fred blew a tumble of hair from his forehead. "Does this thing really work?"
"Of course!" George exclaimed excitedly. "I had no idea such wonderful things existed in the Muggle world! Hey, Fred, just imagine! Tens of thousands of enchanted Water Babies —what a brilliant idea! We'll be making a name for ourselves in the history of Hogwarts!"
He got more and more excited as he spoke, his protruding buttocks swaying involuntarily. "Just imagine, when we pour this stuff into every bathroom drain, they'll expand rapidly, and eventually, as soon as you turn on the tap, countless inflated Water Babies will emerge, and as soon as they pick them up, the words 'Happy 13th Birthday Sean ' will appear on them! Merlin's beard, haha, I can already imagine Sean's expression."
Fred laughed too, "George, you're right, Sean will definitely widen his eyes and look at us with his classic, elegant and gentle smile—but how does he manage to keep that smile on? Anyway, that's another story... Oh, I can already picture his helpless yet delighted tone."
He mimicked Sean's lukewarm tone. "Hey guys, thanks for the gifts, but the whole castle is blocked—of course, everyone knows it's my birthday today, so it's a special gift."
"Hehehe." The two chuckled like thieves.
Just then, a lukewarm voice rang out. "Hey guys, I have to thank you for your kind intentions, but I think that before using my birthday celebration as an excuse to pull off a huge prank that shakes the castle, you should at least ask the master's opinion first, right?"
"Oh!" The Weasley twins were startled and turned around in a panic. Fred's hand was already in the bag.
The place was always filled with Smoke Bomb and Dungbomb, which they used for pranks or to escape Filch's pursuit.
Sean winked at the two of them.
"Oh, Sean, when did you get here?" Fred and George chuckled awkwardly.
Sean leaned casually against the wall. "I just happened to be passing by and then I overheard a plan—you two were laughing too loudly."
"It's all your fault, Fred, we've been discovered now," George complained.
"Ha! It's clearly you who laughed too loudly."
The two brothers started blaming each other.
Sean shook his head helplessly. "Hey guys, forgive my 'lack of romantic understanding,' but I have to advise you to abandon that plan."
He certainly knew about Water Babies; the 'power' of this little gadget was beyond imagination. Any kid who had played with it had most likely clogged their own drain—and then gotten a beating or something.
Water Babies enchanted by the Weasley brothers? Sean couldn't even imagine it.
I'm afraid even the Basilisk would have to be squeezed out of the water pipe.
George and Fred looked at him together, and said somewhat reluctantly, "Hey, Sean, don't dampen our enthusiasm. Think about it, this is going to be the most memorable thirteenth birthday ever—we only got a box of snacks for our birthdays."
"Oh, then I'd rather have a box of snacks—and you guys are just trying to play a prank, don't use my name, guys, I don't want to find a bunch of balls popping out of the toilet with 'Happy 13th Birthday Sean ' written on them..."
"That makes some sense, but it's a bit disgusting." Fred nodded in agreement.
"But that's cool too, isn't it?" George blinked.
"Please let me go..."
In the dilapidated broom shed, it took Sean a while to persuade the Weasley twins to abandon their plan. The two looked somewhat disappointed, with George muttering, "You found out beforehand... and besides, we don't think we've prepared any presents yet."
Sean chuckled. "Don't worry about it. Just give me a hug when the time comes—provided you two take the Dungbomb out of your pockets."
The twins exchanged a glance, then huddled together for a moment to discuss. Next, they winked mysteriously at Sean.
Happy birthday, Sean.
Fred dramatically pulled something out of his cloak and handed it to him.
It was a large square piece of parchment.
