"Good morning. How are you feeling? Do you need any more treatment?"
The next day, at the long tables in the Great Hall, Sean looked at Hermione with concern.
Perhaps because she had not slept well, Hermione paused before responding. She nodded as usual. "I'm fine. Thank you for the ointment."
"That's good." Sean smiled faintly, then turned his gaze toward Daisy, who looked as though she had not slept enough either and had collapsed face-down onto the long table as soon as she arrived.
"Good morning, Daisy." He did his best to make his greeting sound natural and warm, just like before.
However, Little White Flower hurriedly avoided his gaze and merely replied in a low voice, "Good morning..."
Sean's expression remained unchanged. He pretended not to notice that something was off with Little White Flower, but inwardly, alarm bells were already ringing.
What had happened between them last night had been to keep Hermione from discovering something worse, but that did not mean what had happened between them was not awkward.
They had been intimate, but Daisy was still an innocent girl. Especially now that things had temporarily settled down, embarrassing thoughts were bound to surface when she looked back on it.
They had not even confirmed a relationship. It had only been an ambiguous yet passionate kiss. Sean had calmly accepted it all with the scumbag attitude of not initiating, not refusing, and not taking responsibility, while Little White Flower was clearly not bold enough to confess first or ask what they were—especially since she had some vague understanding of the complicated relationships around Sean.
What had happened last night was still a little too far ahead for their relationship.
