Background / History
Hermione was born to Muggle parents and received acceptance letters from both Hogwarts and Newmontgard. Although excited by the discovery of magic, she rejected Newmontgard because its recruiter’s argument with her father left her viewing the school as arrogant toward ordinary people. She instead enrolled at Hogwarts, arriving with much of the curriculum already memorized. 10
On the Hogwarts Express, Hermione met Sean Wallop. Their similar Muggle-family backgrounds quickly made her comfortable around him, and the pair became close friends after an extended conversation and Sean’s purchase of snacks for them both. 10 She was sorted into Ravenclaw and soon established herself as an academically driven student, particularly through her preparedness in Potions and broad magical knowledge. 19 147
Hermione became part of the Ravenclaw trio with Sean and Daisy Potter. She studied with them, assisted Daisy’s rapid academic growth, began preliminary Animagus practice, and gradually became willing to bend school rules while helping Sean care for magical creatures in the Room of Requirement. Her formal Animagus process was later postponed because of concerns about temporal instability. 156 202 301 423
During the Four-School Tournament, Hermione felt excluded from Sean and Daisy’s preparations, prompting Sean and Stephanie Ollivander to recognize the need to involve her more. She also began pursuing House-elf welfare through a House-elves Liberation Front, later revising her approach after Sean challenged her tendency to impose her conclusions on others. 490 496 551
A cross-timeline disturbance affected Hermione’s memories and health. Stephanie first suspected that Hermione was being influenced by a counterpart from another Timeline; Hermione later awoke with no memory of her collapse, while a temporally displaced version of her carried memories of a future in which Sean had died. Sean ultimately attempted to restore her life force and reconcile her memories with the current Timeline. 732 737 742 748
When the Returners attacked Hogwarts, Hermione assumed responsibility for the students remaining inside the castle. As acting headmistress, she coordinated the Houses’ defenses, organized an ambush in Ravenclaw Tower, worked with Malfoy to secure Slytherin, and evacuated Hufflepuff students through the Room of Requirement when Half-Ghosts appeared. 785

Hermione is a brown-haired girl with long hair and a high nose. She is generally seen in Hogwarts uniform robes, though she later uses light makeup to conceal fatigue after a sleepless night. 551 733 742 775

Personality
Hermione is intelligent, strong-willed, opinionated, and intensely demanding of herself. Her directness and occasional temper can make a poor first impression, but she is fundamentally kind-hearted and considerate once someone earns her friendship. 202
She values scholarship, authority, and thorough preparation. Her respect for authority becomes more critical over time, particularly after she and Sean investigate political events surrounding Grindelwald. 206 259 She is also protective of those close to her, becoming furious when Daisy is attacked and persistently seeking help from Hogwarts staff. 517
Hermione is deeply uncomfortable with Dark Arts and worries about Sean and Daisy’s exposure to dangerous material at Newmontgard. 217 Despite this caution, she can adapt when circumstances demand it, from joining Sean in rule-breaking activities to directing Hogwarts’ defense in a crisis. 156 785
She eventually recognizes that her blunt, forceful manner may push Sean away and deliberately tries to become more understanding of his burdens and secrets. 563
