Background / History
Daisy was cursed as a child with a Blood Curse that caused involuntary transformations. At seven years old, she mistook the curse for magic and accidentally killed her favorite Puffskein; horrified by what she had done, she began suppressing her magic. This repression ultimately produced an Obscurus. 99
Dumbledore later attempted to control Daisy’s Obscurus, but his intervention caused it to combine with her Blood Curse and inflict further harm. He remained determined to separate the Obscurus rather than let Daisy become a beast, even preparing others to destroy the separated entity if it retained its wild nature. 112 113 Daisy was conscious during the eventual separation and regards Sean’s help in that event as a defining source of safety and happiness. 334
Her memories of the original curse were altered. A Horned Serpent image triggered a buried recollection: the person who cursed her had a Horned Serpent coiled around them. 147 Much later, Peter Pettigrew confessed that he planted the Blood Curse under coercion from an unknown entity, whom Sean suspected to be Herpo. 809
Appearance
Daisy initially has an exceptionally pale, almost translucent complexion, long fiery-red hair, and clear emerald-green eyes. Her resemblance to Lily Potter is immediately noticeable, though Daisy appears more delicate and fragile. 113
- Her usual expression is gentle and calm, often accompanied by a soft smile. 321
- Long lashes and a fragile bearing contribute to her “Little White Flower” image, though her eyes can reveal mischief. 321
- Following a period of abnormal growth, she becomes noticeably taller and her red hair reaches her waist. 406
- In the altered timeline, she cuts her hair to just below her shoulders for mobility and carries herself like a hardened young leader. 706
Personality
Daisy begins as shy, timid, and guarded around unfamiliar people. Her childhood trauma leaves her sensitive to danger and distrustful of others outside her family, even after she gradually recovers through her family’s support. 113 148
Beneath her gentle demeanor, Daisy is clever, observant, and emotionally perceptive. She recognizes manipulation tactics, mediates tension between friends, and often smooths over awkward situations with humor rather than confrontation. 455 647 793
Her fear of becoming a “monster” never fully disappears. Even after gaining confidence and formidable magical ability, she remains vulnerable to self-doubt rooted in the Blood Curse and Obscurus. 753 756 However, she possesses unusual resilience: she refuses to be defined by her curses, persists under immense strain, and becomes decisive when those she cares about are threatened. 334 512 546
In the Realm of Illusion’s altered timeline, Daisy is colder, more forceful, and markedly more independent. She leads a resistance effort to preserve magical knowledge and rescue children from Dumbledore’s controlled Hogwarts. 705 706
Abilities & Skills
Obscurus and Blood Curse Legacy
Daisy’s former Obscurus and Blood Curse left her with magical advantages, but also lasting vulnerabilities.
- The Obscurus’s parasitic presence gave her a Magic Power Source exceeding that of many peers and older students. 512
- The Blood Curse left her with an animal-like instinct for danger. 512
- Her magic can become unstable when trauma-related triggers are activated, particularly those connected to the Horned Serpent and her altered memories. 147 832
- The ring connected to Ariana and Herpo awakened a dormant manifestation of Wrath within Daisy; Wrath temporarily gained partial control over her body. 674 676 677
- Sean later saved Daisy by absorbing the curse into himself. 866
Fire Dragon Patronus
Daisy’s Patronus is an enormous silver Fire Dragon, an exceptionally rare Magical Creature Patronus.
- She successfully summoned it on her first attempt after enduring severe mental exhaustion rather than ordinary magical depletion. 334
- The Patronus is more than ten meters long and produces a calming warmth that eases anxiety and restores mental strength. 334
- Its presence improves the density of Sean and Hermione’s Patronus mist during practice. 334
- It can shield multiple allies with silver light, dispel incoming spells, relieve fatigue and cold, and strengthen those within its protection. 783
- Daisy can combine its protective effects with Healing Spells during battle. 834
- Even while injured, she used the Fire Dragon to protect Niya from an apparent Killing Curse in the altered timeline. 705
Combat Magic
Despite initially lacking real combat experience, Daisy rapidly develops into a capable duelist.
- Her Shield Charm easily blocks attacks from an ambusher in the Black Lake. 512
- She can sustain rapid, high-volume spellcasting and grows stronger under genuine combat pressure. 512
- She uses explosive magic such as the Blasting Curse (Confringo) for wide-area attacks. 508 835
- Daisy demonstrates quick reactions and decisive force against Half-Dead enemies, including disarming and disabling an opponent after teleporting behind them. 783
- In the altered timeline, she uses a unique Teleportation Spell to attack from difficult angles and evade groups of Ministry wizards. 705
Healing Magic
Daisy is an exceptionally capable healer in addition to a combatant.
- She is described as an exceptionally skilled user of Healing Spells. 834
- During the Half-Dead ambush, she heals Stephanie while maintaining the Fire Dragon Patronus’s protection. 834
- In the altered timeline, she can brew potions for herself while recovering from injuries. 708
Magical Creature Affinity
Daisy possesses unusually high Magical Creature Affinity.
- Sean identifies her affinity after his magical creature Dave reacts favorably to her scent. 147
- Her affinity appears connected to the Horned Serpent incident and to the magical triggers embedded in her altered memories. 147
Potions and Spell Study
- Daisy earns five points for Ravenclaw in her first Potions class, receiving rare approval and further instruction from Severus Snape. 141
- She learns Sectumsempra from Snape, who explicitly warns that it is meant for people who intend harm. 641
- She prepares for Animagus transformation alongside Hermione, using ingredients supplied by Sean. 301
- She later masters Sean’s Trace Flash technique. 729
Equipment / Items
- Wand — Daisy’s primary focus for combat, defensive magic, healing, and Patronus casting.
- Golden Dawn mark — Imprinted on her right palm as one of Golden Dawn’s first members. It identifies members, allows contact, conveys limited information, and enables Daisy to sense a caller’s location. 287
- Ariana’s ring — A ring that resonated with Daisy’s bloodline but was later linked to Herpo and the awakening of Wrath; Sean kept it for examination. 669 674
- Protective pendant — In the altered timeline, a pendant absorbs a Stunning Spell that would otherwise leave Daisy more vulnerable during her rescue attempt. 705
Relationships
- Harry Potter — Her older brother and one of her earliest protectors. Harry stays with Daisy after her Obscurus episodes, comforts her, and remains deeply important to her even when his life is endangered. 113 114 676
- James Potter and Lily Potter — Her parents. Their persistent care and companionship help Daisy recover from the isolation and distrust caused by her childhood curse. 113 148
- Sean Wallerup — Close friend, rescuer, training partner, Golden Dawn leader, and eventual romantic interest. Daisy associates him with the separation of her Obscurus and with the memory that allows her to summon her Patronus. 334 693 728
- Hermione Granger — Close friend and frequent study partner. Hermione supports Daisy through crises, celebrates her Patronus, and works beside her in Golden Dawn and later battles. 334 455 834
- Stephanie Ollivander — Trusted friend and combat partner. The two defend each other during the lake ambush and cooperate closely in later conflicts. 512 834
- Severus Snape — A protective teacher who shows Daisy rare patience in Potions, worries about her Tournament safety, and teaches her Sectumsempra. Lily once suggested that he become Daisy’s godfather. 141 492 641 648
- Luna Lovegood — A close friend who bonds easily with Daisy over imagination and unusual ideas. 750 751
- Niya — Daisy’s loyal subordinate and companion in the altered timeline. Daisy risks her life to rescue Niya, while Niya remains devoted to Daisy’s mission. 705 706
- Albus Dumbledore — Both a source of pain and an ally: his earlier handling of her Obscurus worsened her condition, but he later works with others to save her. 112 113

Daisy’s first Patronus attempt nearly overwhelms her mentally, but she perseveres and summons the enormous silver Fire Dragon. The achievement confirms both her exceptional magical potential and the strength she has developed after surviving the Obscurus and Blood Curse. 334 512
Four-School Tournament
Selected as a Champion, Daisy initially becomes so nervous that she hiccups uncontrollably, though she refuses to sacrifice her appetite. 490 She gradually overcomes her fear with support from Sean, Hermione, Stephanie, and Snape, then proves herself capable during underwater combat and an ambush involving an Obscurus. 492 512

Resistance Leader in the Realm of Illusion

Avalon and the War Against Herpo
Daisy joins Sean, Hermione, and Stephanie on the Avalon expedition, confronting creatures and emotional corruption connected to the World Origin. 832 During subsequent attacks by Herpo’s Half-Dead, she protects allies with her Fire Dragon Patronus, provides healing, and unleashes wide-area magic when Hermione identifies an enemy’s deception. 783 834 835
Trivia
- Daisy’s appetite is famously large despite her slight appearance; she refuses Sean’s suggestion to eat less even while nervous about the Four-School Tournament. 490
- She drew the original Golden Dawn symbol that Sean later adapted into the club’s magical mark. 287
- Her Fire Dragon Patronus resembles Sean’s original Animagus form, though Daisy does not know he possesses that form when she first summons it. 334
- Daisy is more perceptive than her gentle image suggests; she identifies the Returners’ interrogation tactic as a deliberate “player’s tactic.” 793
